Both anime are part of the recent huuuuge moe wave that's coming on. Both are focused on a particular interest, and both anime actually show the interest. Both anime have an all-girls cast, and even their personalities are similar. Ritsu and Kotone are both the super-energetic person, Tsumugi and Elizabeth are both the adorable, soft-voiced but rich girls and Yayoi and Azusa are the overly cute/moe girls. Both contain suggestive lesbian content and their demography is mostly male.

Five girls in a sports club, led by a man. Simple. Personally, none of them is of my taste, but "Softenni" shows a cast and humor slightly better, while "Ro-Kyu-Bu", lacking any innovation in all directions, invests most of the twelve episodes in the girls and their relationships with the coach. In addition, "Softenni" at least is more honest in your intent: fanservice and more fanservice, and, if possible, one or another tennis match. Now "Ro-Kyu-Bu!" masks this content with your innocent visual and lolis characters. Wrong, very wrong...

Both are series about middle school kids playing tennis and aiming for the Nationals. Prince of Tennis is about boys' tennis, while Softenni is about girls' soft tennis.

Bob great comedies that are mostly female centered, while having some elements of slice of life use, mixed with paradoxical elements of their different professions

Both are comedies focusing on school club activities. The clubs are made up exclusively of female members (although the adviser for the soft tennis club in Softenni is a man). There is a lot of fanservice in both that is mostly used for humor, though there is actual nudity in Softenni as it is an ecchi show. If you liked one, you would probably enjoy the other.

Both are about sport (tennis), where people join tennis club. Both have some comedy parts.

Both are school comedies that primarily feature female characters but also include a couple important male characters. Every time I saw Kotone in Softenni, I thought of Kana from Minami-ke because they have a very similar character design and are also both very energetic. Minami-ke focuses more on daily life, while Softenni is more concerned with tennis. Softenni has much more fanservice, but it is often used for comedic purposes.

Both are commedies setted at schoul about a sports club full of girls (tennis/airsoft). Both have girl characters with unique, crazy characters. Both are full od gags and unexpected moments.

Similar perverted funny characters. And both are comedy shows too.

Softenni and Milky Holmes are more alike than what it seems. Yes, the first is about a club of soft tennis when the latter is about a bunch of detective girls, but the feel is definitely the same: they both share a cast of cute and stupid girls, with slapstick humor and crazyness everywhere.

Both are comedies that have the OP sung by ultra-prism and the ED by Itou Kanae.

-Both animes focuses on their respective sports clubs, and the cast tries to recruit enough members to create their club, -Has a side-character romance in their group -Characters wanting to improve their skills to get to the nationals. Only difference is Softenni is an ecchi anime and doesn't feel very serious because of the comedy that was executed, while Saki is a lighthearted anime (with various drama) considering that their seriously determined to win.

Both contain highly perverted funny characters. Both are comedy shows, both have sports scenes. Plus the ecchi.
