There are many series that I have been unable to find in the MAL database and therefore have not included. And, lastly, the information in this list is sourced from the Lost Media Wiki.

There may be many more that I haven't mentioned. May add more into it, fell free to let me know a thing that i've missed or incorrect.

Mime (1990) - Movie
Lost media
It was announced as early as 1988 and had its last updates in 1990. After 1990, a pilot film for Mime was reportedly completed (apparently lasting only 3 minutes), but the movie was never officially finished, having been quietly cancelled.

In a 2019 interview with The Japan Times, Shoji Kawamori gave an explanation for the cancellation: "Around the same time, there were a couple titles released that had a similar feeling, so we decided not to do it. It wouldn’t have felt original."

Denjin Arrow (1965) - TV
Existing only 3 minutes of pilot. Unproduced tv series. Article about the pilot being colorized via ai:
