Tenshi no Drop

Botan Ichige's lifelong dream is to enjoy a tea party with angelic girls. When she enrolls at St. Asmaria All-Girls School with her best friend Shinobu Itoko, it begins to feel like her dream could become reality. Suddenly, an angel appears in their midst. Calling herself Un, the strange girl offers the duo her halo to eat. However, consuming the halo causes Botan and Shinobu to spontaneously "conceive" and "give birth" to colorful mushroom-shaped objects.

Feeling out of sorts due to the lewd action she is forced to endure, Botan cheers up when Un says that her wish will come true if she can lay one hundred thousand "eggs." Spurred on by Un's words, Botan's struggles to achieve her dream have only just started.

Tenshi no Drop has to be one of the funniest shorts I have come across in recent time.

Everything starts off as an anime of its kind normally would, but thing starts to slowly descend into some of the most bizarre events that can occur. Nothing really makes sense and everything is random. Pee that becomes food. Lolis wanting to achieve Ahegao and make a club based on it. Other things. But how everything is given with random characters coming out from ceilings and flying at Mach X (X > 1, X ∈ N) through windows and whatnot.

It is just a good strange comedy that ... doesn't follow the orthodox ways that people get bored of anyway.

It is just 5 mins, it won't kill to watch it. Hopefully, this review persuades you to because this is underrated.

Mixed Feelings

This was damn weird, but also hilarious at the same time. Never thought my first review ever would be such an anime, but here we are.

Originally, I only do this review as many people didn't and the ones who did are rather nevative. I don't want to say the anime is the best you can watch, but also not the worst. I already saw worse and as already mentioned above it gave me some laughters here and there. And I laughed more at this than at any actual comedy-made anime. That was so hilarious even though at the last few seconds of the 5 minute ... OVA/special I felt a bit uncomfortable with the pee and all, but hey the originality is there and it's funny, so why not? Only took five minutes to watch. But I got told that the manga is longer and actually has a plot, I am curious to know that plot so I will read it now.

Is it insightful in any way? Take a guess.

Tenshi no Drop is not where one would typically find it, so I had quite the experience of watching it firsthand without any proper recommendation. Despite this anime only being five minutes along however, there was a lack of engaging material to consume which in turn made it quite the snoozefest. In turn, I was just hovering over the pause button to watch the red bar slowly scroll by. In one sentence, it is nothing more than substanceless "lolicon" humor.

P.S. This review doesn't need any extraneous information MAL...
