Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou

Have you ever felt how heavy is to look after a female that's attractive enough to be your next girl? Have you ever felt how airhead can she be and she wouldn't notice? Bingo! The comedy of these show is one of the best here, you're going to find it fun to watch any of these. 

A fairly normal guy enters an old dorm filled with social misfits. While Sakurasou is filled with mostly geniuses of one kind or another and Kawaisou people that don't fit in for slightly different reasons they share a very similar atmosphere. Also, romance ^^ Note: Based on only one episode of Kawaisou, but they already seem similar enough for a recommendation 

Both are about teenage boys who move into dormitories with a cast of crazy residents. They both have romance, although Sakurasou has more drama while Kawai Complex has a lot more comedy.  

•both anime are pretty much set in the exact setting as each other •both anime focus on the main protagonist male which moves into a dorm/house, where the not so average residents reside and make the most out of their lives fun •both protagonists are totally different in personality,you have one that over reacts to anything that leads to romance in any sense, and is not realistic at all, wheres as one is more realistic and more normal •if you like one, you would possibly like the other, with the random personalities of each resident that resides in the dorm, that carry the show.  

kawai-sou opens up with a male high schooler having his fantasy about living an eventful high school life as a reflection to how he used to live middle school. afterwards, he found out that he will be living in a mixed boarding house together with the girl he admires just like sakura-sou. both anime emphasize on character development between the main character and other unique members of his boarding house. of course this includes the main heroine. that being said, both sakura-sou and kawai-sou isn't an exact copy of the other, making it worth your time to watch as sakura-sou has more comedy in it while sakura-sou has more seriousness in it. read more 

The same scenario where it is set in a boarding house, where the people are a bit unusual and there is one member of the house who is the only normal guy around who has to deal with these people on a day to day basis.  

These are slice of life school, romance/comedies. In both we follow a relatively normal boy that moves into a dorm/house filled with "lunatics" Making it feel very similar. Even though, Sakurasou is much more drama based, ups and down that give good character development. Also having more episodes to do so, and Kawaisou mainly focuses on comedy all through. 

+ A group of misfit high schoolers (though Kawaisou has some older inhabitants as well) live together and try to get along + Above average animation and character designs + Similar romance element + Enjoyable comedic moments mostly brought about the characters' quirks - So far, Kawaisou doesn't seem to have the good drama that Sakurasou has 

First of all, they even have similar settings. Both is set on, well, as we all know that 90% of anime is set in, high school, in a dorm or at least dorm-like setting. Main character falls in love with main heroine immediately in both ones. Only difference I'd say is that one is...well...better than the other. Sakurasou shows how harsh life could be while Kawaisou doesn't and is more of a love comedy than a slice of life. Preferring one might not immediately mean you prefer another. 

Both shows have an interesting set of quirky, really strange characters and the humor of the shows is mostly based on them. The characters are great in both shows, so the humor is also great. They both have somewhat ecchi moments, however, and can be quite lewd, but overall they are both really funny, and the ecchi parts are not unbearable by any means 

both are romantic comedies that follow the lives of an ' average ' guy alongside of some rather eccentric characters in a particular residence. sakurasou is a school dorm, and kawaisou is a boarding house. the endeavours and respective development undergone is notably different in the two series, with sakurasou being more impressive in that aspect. however kawaisou has a very appealing dynamic in regards to the relations between characters; both platonic and romantic. the animation and colour is truly breathtaking in both, though kawaisou is considerably more vivid. both also, both have truly standout soundtracks. 

Both revolve around the main character being forced to live in a very odd complex with very very odd people. Both have an interesting and cute love story with tons of sexual humor or just plain comedy. I enjoyed watching both immensely with Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou being my favorite. I definitely recommend both for those romance/comedy lovers! 

Both anime are very great. As i started watching Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, I came to realise that it is very similar to Sakurasou. You have an ordinary guy stuck with weird people. He falls in love with a silent and shy girl, somewhat like Shiina from Sakurasou. Their relationships in both anime develop from day to day. If you really like romance animes give it a shot. But if you like anime with lots of "lovey" scenes, you might be dissapointed.  

Both Sakurasou and Kawaisou have a house that is followed by sou... In all seriousness, both anime follow a main character who ends of living in a house full of "unique" characters, Sakurasou, and Kawai Complex. In this house they deal with the shenanigans of their new roommates, try to get used to it, and of course, meet a love interest. They are both funny RomCom's that will have you awwing, crying, and laughing. Well worth a watch! 

* Lots of different kind of people living under the same roof/dorminatory...(Danger!!!!) * In both we have «kuudere» female lead & goody-two shoes/annoying male lead... * Weak romance feeling ( Bokura wa Minna especially )... * Both shows has a little bit of [ecchi stuff] [mostly imaginery] * Both has really nice char designs [SnPnK has a little bit better eye designs]... * Both have really awesome side characters (they're funny, interesting) †SnPnK is a little bit dramatic ( BwMK fails at it )....+ Sakurasou has 24 episodes (pacing = good) & ( Bokura wa Minna has 12+ ova/special (terrible pacing) 

They both take place in a similar environment where everyone needs to deal with each other in order to learn and further develop their relationships. They comedic aspect is present in both, while one strides at romance much more than the other Very enjoyable and addictive 

Main characters of both anime live in the same apartment and have both characters trying to understand each other better while slowly improving the bonds between each other 

What if a normal guy who just wants to enjoy his adolescence begins to live in a house full of strange people of all kinds? These two animes reflect exactly that, with the added similarity which is that both protagonists are interested in a very introverted girl that is impossible to feel contempt. It is noted that Bokura doesn't deepen as much as Sakurasou in terms of dreams and concerns of each character because of its short duration, but in my opinion Bokura has much more comedy. In short, if you liked the way Sorata suffered and appreciated their neighbors, definitely you will like Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou. read more 

Almost the same thing. - Both the settings involve a dorm with weirdos. - The female MC is silent and socially incept. - The male MC's characters are also about the same. But Kawaisou's MC is not a whiny little bitch. Here's how Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou is better though, - No overbearing drama. Just comedy. - No immature love-triangles. - Although the animation in Sakurasou is not bad, it is much more gorgeous in Kawaisou. 

basically it almost got the same templete what make it different that Kawaisou more focusing on the comedy and the story is not that amazing if compare with Sakurasou. But Yeah just for fun sake recommend watch this 

The setting is similar, which is a boy who moved to a dorm and meet some "unique" people , like the masochist , the drunk old lady who cant get a boyfriend , and of course the main heroin is a kuu-dere (which is a plus for me). but over all i'll give it a 8/10.

Hostel environment. Character troupes. Main female character is indulged in her own hobby while sort of proves to be a challenge for the MC. 

Bokura wa minna kawaisou is kinda similar to Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, because of the fact that both main characters living in a dorm, where they met the girl they like. In both animes there are a lot of slice of life and we see them come closer to each other every episode. 

The hero and the heroine live in the same dormitory at the school love comedy. 

Similar characters and art Both of them are really good in comedy 

The motto is simple: the act of living with extraterrestrials and living with attachment to them. - Both works feature school-aged protagonists who need to deal with the challenge of living under the same roof as a group of strange characters, each with their own mannerisms and quirks, and adapt to the new reality. - Although they react completely differently to the protagonist, in both stories the female main lead is quite introverted and quiet, immersed in her own world. Mashiro and Ritsu share the characteristic of being obsessed with a hobby or ambition and are quite attached to it, with Mashiro being dedicated to illustrative creativity and Ritsu to reading. - Both Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo and Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou portray realities populated by a heterogeneous cast, quite "colorful" and strange at first glance. Their individualities and archetypes catch the eye, and fans will soon find themselves accustomed to the oddities and individualities of each one. There is also a lot of comedic value to these interactions. - The development of Sorata and Usa is quite similar, in the sense that both protagonists crystallize identification and attachment to the residents and the place in which they reside at the end of the series. - Although they are from different studios, both works may have a similar impression in terms of their color palette and animation style, precisely because they were aired in similar years. Both protagonists, with similar personalities, are in very alike circumstances. They both enter a complex filled with interesting and bizarre people. While they are all strange, the protagonist is quite normal. They then meet a girl who basically changes their life.  

- Both are comedic - Both are about a guy moving into a dorm with a unique cast of characters - Both have the main MC fall in love with the quiet girl  

Strip off the heavy drama going on in Sakura-sou and you get Kawai-sou! They have a lot of similarities especially the main characters, both being in high school, both living in a shared apartment/dormitory, and both somehow being the only level-headed person in their group. 

Cute silent main girl living in the same complex as the MC. A bunch of weirdos as the other residents. It's pretty much the same thing. 

both have the same story setting 

The setting is the same: boy comes into a dorm filled with weirdo's. Very likeable cast, hilarious moments. Same awkward kind of romance. Very different kind of characters, wich is a nice change and feels like something new. 

both anime involved a group of people of different age groups living under the same dorm but there's a huge difference- while The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is dominated with great drama, Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou is dominated with peak comedy and wholesome moments- i'd say both are equally enjoyable to watch, despite the difference  

Sakura-sou no Pet no Kanojo is a well known anime. The anime is famous for diverse cast and unique characters that will entertain you. Not only that, they will delve deeper into the the backstory of each characters and we got to know who they are and what they want. Bokura wa minna kawai-sou have similar vibes with that anime. Both have a diverse and unique characters that are likeable and funny af. Even though the latter one didn't have a deep backstory that tied with the characters, but it was still an entertaining shows 

Both have the same situation where guy goes to some place to to find himself from the frying pan to the fire kind of predicament. Both also have the same set of characters that provides such annoyance to the main character. 

The same plot where guy goes to some place for some peace and independence, only to find a group of people who seems to wanna put their noses where it doesn't belong.  

Slice of Life with a somewhat different humour and character set from the other romcoms, overall the same refreshing and positive ambiance and no/few romance in both. 

While not a romantic comedy, Barakamon holds a very similar sense of humour to Kawai Complex Guide. Both series involve a main character who moves out on his own, only to find himself surrounded by others who won't seem to leave him alone. Both shows involve some very funny characters along with a similar art style that will surely keep you laughing throughout.  

Leaves you in a happy good mood feeling after this anime, another pleasant watch 

Both are beautiful anime that really calms your heart at times and other times makes you laugh to death. Lovely shows that truly give you slice of life. 

Dorm Life full of mayhem and memorable tenants who are unique and different. A hint of love is also in the air. 

The wacky tenants in Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou are definitely similar to and possible a homage to the 80s anime Maison Ikkoku 

The story is similar. Student lives with weird people and he decides to stay with them because the girl he loves lives in the same place 

Comedy centered around student dormitory full of quirky characters with character traits that are sometimes annoying to their surroundings. The protagonist falls in love with the young landlady. 

The 2 anime are from different eras, but you can definitely see where Kawai-sou got its idea. Both anime contain: Main male character in love with another character living in the dorm. A very strange personality in the other male tenant A somewhat slutty female tenant A somewhat evil female tenant, making everything worse for main. If you like one you should like both, and don't be scared of Maison Ikkoku being old, it does not make it any less enjoyable and watchable. 

While Grand Blue isn't really a romance show, it's VERY similar to Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou in many ways. The biggest similarity is probably their type of comedy, both are very well on the same footing, are insanely well thought & executed. Just straight up a tip; don't drink anything while watching either of these shows, we get jump-jokes in these that will make you laugh like some psycho...you will spill it all out. Another similarity is that the female leads are very similar, hair, personality, & more wise. 

MC live in a boarding house away from home with people of unknown backgrounds. Weird people living and interacting together. Funny In Grand Blue, Chisa is a Tsundere. In Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou, Ritsu is a kuudere. Both are good splice of life. 

They both are a good romcom anime how ever Grand Blue is more towards the comedy side while Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou is more romantic. They both also are very relatable letting u see the feelings inside each character to the point that u might even get abit annoyed when the relationships not going well (Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou) and normal not so normal college guy trying to live a normal life but had his dreams crushed (Grand Blue) p.s. These 2 animes are my top few favorite animes i highly recommend watching both ... they have good storylines :D 

Nothing more, just chisa remind you of Ritsu.

A sweet love story between two wholesome characters both including very introvert girls who are misunderstood in their expression of how they feel. Both girls were outcasts early in their schooling for coming across as scary/mean. 

They both have the same type of innocent romance. The female leads are both incredibly adorable. I highly recommend giving this a shot.

Same setting, MC goes to an inn full of wacky and unique residents. 

Two comedies with romance set mainly in the apartment complex of their shows. Centers on the romance of the two MC's but both shows aren't always about them. The other inhabitants can be deemed an eccentric lot but their dedicated screentime creates a lot of personality and fun for both shows. Kawai-sou probably details more mainly on the romance of the MC's throughout its show whereas Mahoraba has more balance of the romance and its main plot. 

- Similar setting - MC goes to live alone - The characters are very similar - The MC has crush on a girl he just meets - Other residents are similar oddballs 

- Cool short hair female characters. - The male main characters has a crush on the female main characters. He ALWAYS looks at her, thinks about her and cares ONLY for her!!! (In short, he really do LOVES her so much) - They live near each other, go to the same school, go home together. - In the main characters house/apartment has ONE of a Alcoholism-BIG BOOBS-SISTER. 

Both give this same kind of dorming love story between two characters that fluctuate between being distant and being close where the girl pushes away the guy at times. 

Both have the guy trying to get closer to the girl Both have romance Both in school Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou is funnier though whilst Suzuka is more serious and drama based If you enjoyed this show watch Suzuka it's better  

The first thing I noticed when watching Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is that it reminded me of something. First I wasn't sure what is was but I found out soon after. It was Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou! First of all: The setting. Both animes are set in a regular school - slice of life setting and are dealing with the single-sided love between the two main characters and have a focus on the genres comedy and little bit of romance. Another thing these shows share is that in both animes the main character somehow tries to get closer to her/his crush by spending time with him/her. But the most important fact they have in common is that both animes are full of weird and unique characters and every episode is just over-the-top hilarious and full of laughter. You won't regret having spent your time watching either of those. read more 

-Both have a great cast of characters, touches of romance, & plenty of humor. -Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou is a lot pervier (it's just suggestive in a really funny but not gross way) and it also paces the series out well enough to weigh the slice of life, romance, & character development equally. So if you're looking for a romcom that's ecchi but really cute too, I recommend Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou! -As for Gekkan Shoujo it's a great anime to unwind--they focus on humorous adventures at school & approach romance too, but don't have an intense focus on it. You learn to know and love all the characters in the process. -Both have great art style too. read more 

Theses are romance shows that takes place in a hotel/ boarding house, that has a variety of unique characters. Love Hina despite it being a harem show, it focuses mainly on one main girl of that harrem as the main males love interest who is also a fellow student of his. They main romantic leads per-say happen to have several aspects in common such as they, bad temper and the tendency to smack people about. 

When I watched this it gave me the same wholesome vibes, although less harem based the main character trying to get along with the main girl who seems to hate him. Good times. 

Both are some pretty good rom-coms, I believe the characters are quite similar, a group of people who really do like each other and enjoy themselves.  

has a great blend of humor and heart, and its characters are just as quirky and endearing 

Love comedy with funny, eccentric seccondary cast, and gorgegous art. Actually, it seems Brain's Base is trying to emulate Shaft's animation style. 

Realistic slice-of-life anime with plenty of comedy. HanaIro and Kawaisou both feature the main character moving into an inn/dorm with the intention of reinventing themselves. For Ohana, this means getting used to the work at the inn and proving that she is competent to her coworkers and her grandmother. For Usa, this means getting a girlfriend - specifically, getting closer to the antisocial book-loving girl who lives in the same building. Their stories feature moments of success but also plenty of setbacks as the other colorful characters generally do their best to make things difficult.  

Both of the male MC got dragged into bizarre place and have to play tsukkomi role MC's guy friend both masochist 

MC moves into new living area with interesting roommates. The female character that the MC admires has short hair and is into nerdy things (drawing vs. reading). In both cases the MC lives with people that have more than meets the eye to them. 

-Extremely similar comedy styles and wacky personalities with the cast -Male lead has a crush on Female lead -Female lead is obsessed with books -Adult casts (with the exception of the male and female lead/schoolmates in Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou) -Every episode gives you something new while also building slowly from the last few If you like one, I guarantee you'll like the other 

The way that both male protagonists want to help the female protagonists who are alone to make friends is similar. The way Kotomi and Ritsu are both immersed in their books and loners is similar also. 

Hachimitsu to Clover and Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou adapts a similar atmosphere involving a group of people sharing a dorm/apartment and living together. They build relationships based on the activities they do in their every day lives. There is a similarity in their mood that also focuses on the growth of youth for the main characters. Among other things, there is innocent romance as well as charming comedy. I recommend both series for anyone looking for simple stories that tells the young lives of a group of people building off of their youth. 

In both anime, there are people who share same house. You can watch daily lifes of these habitants. Kuragehime is a josei anime but more likely to a shoujo in some scenes. You can feel 'slice of life' theme in Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou more. Both anime are enjoyful, i laughed so much while watching them :) I think if you like one, then you can enjoy other too ^^
