New Interest Stack
Interest Stacks![]() ![]() Featuring little to no dialogue and/or characters and the experience is carried by the music and/or visual atmosphere. ![]() ![]() The criteria this time is no criteria. This is the final list in my Obscurities series. If there is any criteria, it's that I think you should watch these despite their quality, popularity, or even my rating, because you should see 'em. There's some good, some bad, and some real head-scratchers in here. It's mixed bag time in here! ![]() ![]() This is a collection of anime that I think is important/useful, or just inspiring in terms of its animation. If you are looking to study animation or simply want to appreciate the craft, this stack is for you. ![]() ![]() I'd only say there are a couple here where it is a spoiler to know, so they will be at the end of the list. Let me know if you think I should change the stack to have a spoiler warning. But I don't think it's necessary. ![]() ![]() LITERALLY kino...... do not even question the kino bro >:( ![]() ![]() MAL can be inconsistent with music credits, but I'll try to list who was responsible for music, sound, etc., sometimes crediting staff members who aren't listed here as well. One could easily overload a list with nothing but Yuki Kajiura, Kenji Kawai, Joe Hisaishi, etc., so I'm trying to include no more than 3-4 entries per person. lol, I'll add more credits later. ![]() ![]() ADV Films, the former incarnation of Sentai Filmworks, produced most of their English dubs in Houston, Texas. However, from the late 1990s until 2005, ADV also employed a secondary studio in Austin, Texas, known as Monster Island. ![]() ![]() Every cinema or direct to video anime film that came out in 1984. ![]() ![]() These are just some which I've seen and plan to watch. Includes movies and OVAs. ![]() ![]() Some of these are questionable, like Suisei no Gargantia can be argued to be fully sci-fi, but there is a feel to it that makes me include it, along with organic and archaic elements that are woven together in a way that makes this appear more fantastical than your average sci-fi. Similarly, Gankutsuou is sci-fi with advanced technology, but it's futuristic imagery is conceptualized to cohere with the elegant 19th century setting of Dumas' novel. I'm also avoiding the inclusion of more than one entry per series, so if season 1 is on here, then season 2 likely fits just as much. ![]() ![]() All OVAs from 1983-1985 that I've found so far. This is the majority of them, but I'm probably still missing a few obscure ones, recaps, or miscellaneous releases. One notable OVA excluded from this period is Cream Lemon, on account of it being a hentai series. ![]() ![]() another trans ladies recommendations for short good stuff although quality is less of a factor than movies here ![]() ![]() Personal list of stuff to watch to get that 90s fantasy adventuring vibe. Break!! RPG is a TTRPG inspired by fantasy anime and JRPGs. Some entries might be from the 80s or 00s, because I'm a maverick. ![]() ![]() π« Discover more πππ’π£πππ£ππ anime! π« ![]() ![]() First of all, sorry for my English, i can understand and read but writing isn't my forte (i can't even writing Portuguese well lol). |
