This is a list detailing the in universe chronological order of the 1988 LoGH OVA, including the Gaiden series and related movies. Although all of the Gaiden series and movies are set before the main series, I strongly recommend finishing the series before proceeding to the other content. The in-universe chronological years are written in the description of each work. While the two Gaiden are two separate releases, these should be watched at the same time according to the chronological order, the arc watch order is included in the description of both series.

The Golden Wings movie adaptation is excluded from this list due to having a different director, voice cast and character design than the OVA.

It includes all kinds of sci-fi anime subgenres from dystopian, utopian, aliens, space operas, comedy, dark and psychological etc. A variety of selection to explore the world of my favourite genre which is sci-fi. It includes extremely serious nerve wrecking stories to absolutely light hearted fun ones.

The prequels are optional to watch & unnecessary to understand the main story though fans shouldn't be disappointed
