Fumikiri Jikan feels and looks like something that's made out of a passion project with said unknown studio and all the things that you could ever have with a decent production.

With that said, this is the best 3 mins short in the season, the others are all trash, Tachibanakan Triangle is pure yuri but mediocre, and the "I don't know whose freaking idea to turn this into an anime" Alice or Alice, a tragic disaster of a lolicon.

With that said, there's no story here, since all of the stories are presented in an omnibus format, it means that every episode is its very own story, ... but with the same setting around the railroad crossing. It's good, but there are others better out there.

The art and animation is surprisingly good, considering that the people behind this have the will to present something out of motivation, and it's not the half-ass deal-breaker.

The music is minimal with just the OP, and I can see why: the stories are given much context and screentime, that the focus reigns on the different characters that come into play, and probably some sprinkles onto certain scenes and such.

In the end, this is a good short to invest your time with, and it takes only a half hour to complete everything in a sitting.

I love shorts, I love the concept itself – interactions between people on a railway crossing is a very fine setting for such comedic slice-of-life pieces. More than that, Crossing Time opens with pretty much the perfect execution of the idea – witty and well-timed romcom skit between two girls. Whether you like yuri or not, it's just cute, wholesome and decently funny.

Sadly, the rest of the series is extremely hit-and-miss. There are some really nice skits, like the text-message bickering between two siblings, and extremely bad ones, like a guy just creeping on a girl he considers sexy, with no punchline to it. If ... the producers did a better job at choosing which scenes from the manga to adapt, it could've been rather excellent for a short-form anime, as the production quality is pretty ok for what it is and like I've said before, the concept itself is absolutely fine. As it is now, I can only half-recommend it – just watch the good parts and skip the episodes that sound creepy or got bad ratings from people. When it's nice it's really, really nice, but when it's not, it's also REALLY not.

To be completely honest, I should rate this lower. I don’t normally rate shorts anything lower than a 4, but a lot of these episodes hurt to watch. It has each episode focus on new characters, with a few characters getting 2 episodes of focus. 2 out of the 12 episodes were genuinely good. The very first episode and the very last episode. The other episodes range from “Boring” to “Unnecessarily creepy or uncomfortable.” I would’ve much preferred an anime short focusing on the two characters in Episodes 1 and 12. Most episodes introduced new characters that were either unmemorable or really bad. The humor ... just never landed for me. It either came off as awkward or unfunny in its attempts. I had so much whiplash going from “Two friends waiting at a railroad crossing when one suddenly confesses” in Epsiode 1, to “A guy awkwardly stares at a girl and calls her sexy in his mind for three minutes straight” in episode two. The only thing saving this anime from a score of 3 was the first and last episodes. If those were never there, I probably would’ve dropped the short altogether. I continued solely for the off chance that the characters from Episode 1 would get the spotlight again.
