Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hakaishin ga Imasu.

In the distant past, Miguel, the God of Destruction, was sealed inside the knight who ruled over light and darkness, Sturmhurt. Alongside the knight was Gestöber, who accompanied him through countless battles. In the present day, destiny causes them to reincarnate as Kabuto Hanadori and Seri Koyuki, two classmates.

Their reunion should be a joyous moment, if not for the fact that these fantasied heroes are just products of Kabuto's delusions. As the fictional "Gestöber," Seri finds himself in various embarrassing situations due to Kabuto's antics that sometimes grow out of his control. Moreover, his classmate Utsugi Tsukimiya joins the fray with his absurdly accurate mind-reading abilities, slowly destroying Seri's social life.

Seri tries hard to stay away from them, refusing to acknowledge their shenanigans, however with Kabuto's chuunibyou and Utsugi's unpredictability, he is only bound to be swept by the craziness coming his way.

The story isn’t exactly unique, but it doesn’t need to be — the humor and timing make it stand out. Even when some jokes are predictable, they still land because the delivery fits the genre perfectly.

The characters are well-rounded — each has their own quirks and flaws that make them fun to watch, instead of just being “the smart one” or “the dumb one.” Their reactions feel natural, like how real people might respond in ridiculous situations.

Of all the comedy anime I’ve watched, I think this one is the best. I really love its humor—on the same level as Saiki K. In my opinion, this ... anime could even surpass Gintama if it had hundreds of episodes. Please, EMT, give this anime a continuation until the ending! 🙏🙏🙏

Mixed Feelings

It wasn't good, it wasn't bad either.

Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hakaishin ga Imasu is an show about tsundere protagonist and his friends that really like him for some reasons. Unfortunately, Kyouki Seri AKA Gestober doesn't reciprocate their feelings (at least in his mind). This whole anime is an endless circle in which Seri is trying to escape from his friends, but ends up with them anyway. Through all 12 episodes, we encounter various funny moments, in which the main character survives trough different traumatic situations (caused by his companions). Along the way, we can see some side plots, but the main focus is ... on Seri and hate he has for his friends.

And this is also a thing that i didn't liked in this anime. The whole plot is repeated over and over. Every episode is too much similar to the last one. Rarely we can see anything other that Seri yelling at his friends. Every episode is like a loop.
-Seri is at home or school
-Seri meets his friends
-His friends are doing something that upsets him
-Seri is yelling at everyone
-Seri promises himself that he will never talk to his annoying friends again
-Repeat
The only thing that changes, is the amount of his friends because we meet more of them as the show continues. If they weren't there, i would probably fall asleep because of this never-ending loop. But they were, and they made this anime a lot more interesting.

Secondary characters are pretty interesting and really funny, thanks to them we have something new in this anime. Mogami is definitely my favorite character, and in my opinion he is the funniest one. But other characters like Kimiya also were really funny. I enjoyed every moment in which i could see them on the screen. But sadly, the main trio has the most attention and others were just supporting the main, repetitive plot. It's a pity that we haven't seen much backstory of secondary characters, because in my opinion, they were carrying this whole anime.

Summarizing, Boku no Tari is an anime in which you don't have to think too much. It has a lot of problems, but the show is still enjoyable. Surely, there is a lot of better light comedies that i could recommend more, but in it's pure comedy aspect, Boku no Tonari was pretty funny.

At first, I was expecting another genre given the synopsis, but I don't mind the comedy, on the contrary. So I went in without much expectation, and I was still disappointed. Everything becomes confusing from the first episode.

And I've been confused in the past by some anime, but for this one, I didn't even want to understand, that's the feeling I felt from the start. Maybe it's my fault, who knows.

The characters are ok, but they don't stand out in my opinion, which is really important in an anime for me.

The storyline makes no sense which is neither interesting nor funny to me. I haven't ... even finished watching because it's so boring. I really like comedy anime but this one isn't it. I always finish what I watch, and I've really tried, but I can't. It's just not my cup of tea.

I definitely think it's not for everyone, I gave it a try because I've been surprised before, but this time it's not the case.
