Mixed Feelings

It’s a pity they didn’t invest more in this donghua. It was a decent donghua up until season 2, but from season 3 onward the animation became awful and they changed a lot of things in the story, and for the worse. It really had the potential to be a great donghua. It’s such a shame they dragged things out so much with flashbacks in seasons 3 and 4 just to fill up the episodes instead of actually finishing the story. And honestly, I doubt they’ll ever make a season 5 to wrap everything up properly.

I have never submitted a review, but as this never had one I will leave this for the curious:

I began watching this anime after finding the Manhwa years ago, and suffered through it all. From the change in production team and delays, to the pause in translation for another couple years in a previous season. Thankfully somebody came along to finish translating...as poor as it may be, thank you for that champ.

So what do I think of the anime itself? At the base it's a tragic romance drama which actually has solid underpinnings. Our characters designs are enjoyable, though they change ...
