Xian Wang de Richang Shenghuo 2

Wang Ling has been living a quiet life ever since resolving a particular incident, but thanks to his previous tampering with the laws of nature, the level of psionic powers in the world has dropped drastically. To stop the levels from plummeting further, his spirit sword Jingke comes to the rescue. But due to the excessive use of power, Jingke ends up ripping a crack in space. This crack allows demons to infiltrate the world and steal spiritual energy essential to powering human society. Now the only person who has the power to thwart their plans is none other than Wang Ling.

In an attempt to balance his high school life with his supernatural one, Wang Ling must confront challenges ranging from teacher home visits, crafting spiritual swords, grappling with his growing feelings for Sun Rong, and battling invading demons!

"The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 2" is an anime that can be a hit or miss for most viewers. The show's strengths lie in its visual aesthetics and originality, while its weaknesses are its audio design and writing structure. Overall, it is a fun and enjoyable show that may not satisfy everyone's taste.

Writing Structure - 0.49/0.80
The writing structure of the show is a bit lacking. While the story depth and plot complexity are average, the pacing and character development could be improved. The show tends to rush through its story, leaving little room for character development or building up to emotional moments. ... However, the writing quality and dialogue are decent with it seemingly comedic moments, which helps make up for some of these flaws.

Visual Aesthetics - 1.93/2.40
The visual aesthetics are undoubtedly the highlight of the show. The art style is gorgeous, and the animation is consistent throughout the series. However, it does not offer anything outstanding. You could say the show's use of color is also impressive and adds to the overall appeal of the anime. The visuals also support the story well, as the animation and direction quality enhance the action scenes.

Audio Design - 0.83/1.60
On the other hand, the audio design of the show is not as strong. While the music quality is good, the sound effects and voice acting quality are average. As a person that keeps up-to-date on tech, I have to give mad respect for the real obscure joke that made me burst out laughing. If you know you know.

I have to say that I believe that the show builds upon what worked best in the first season and throughout what didn't, which is the absolutely great comedy and unique world and ridding itself of cliches regarding the MC and main love interest.

The main strong points of the show are the complex conundrums that come about from being so powerful he literally can't use it, and the world of cultivation that the story is based ... in. I'm happy to say that the scenarios that play out become more interesting while the world itself is built upon and foreshadowed surprisingly well with small aspects like news in the background adding up to being relevant to a later event.

The animation budget getting a bump and the audio actually being upped in gain was very much appreciated.

I have to say though that at times it felt rushed and didn't build up certain characters as well, even though it does affect the overall pacing, I didn't mind much.

It's a solid 8 and an above in my books, great fun to watch unless you're really not into overarching stories with a more episodic story style.

Mixed Feelings

A rare instance where the show get's better in the second season. I think that the story got a little stale this season and there wasn't much in terms of character development. That's the big downside over season 1, the freshness. Other than that the animation is much more consistent across the board, and is up to industry standard. However, it seems like this may have come at the cost of having one huge flashy scene like in season 1. The OP/ED go hard, even if the soundtrack is almost identical to season 1. New girl VA suck, but otherwise the VA is still kind ... of alright, aka decent for a dub. Overall, a better more finely tuned anime, but still clunky like most anime. 6.40/10 dubbed
