Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei

Princess Anisphia "Anis" Wynn Palletia has always dreamed of flying through the sky, even though the people of her kingdom consider it a silly ambition. Also at odds with her goal is the fact that Anis is incapable of using magic despite her noble status. Refusing to give up so easily, she renounces her right to the throne, and focuses on developing "magicology" by combining various resources with knowledge from her previous life on Earth.

Due to Anis' nature, responsibility for the kingdom's future is passed onto her younger brother, Algard. Pushed into a political marriage with Euphyllia Magenta, a girl he hardly knows, Algard rebels by spending more time with a commoner girl than his fiancée. After Euphyllia tries to intervene, Algard publicly calls off their marriage and denounces his ex-fiancée as a bully.

After crashing into the banquet where Algard makes the announcement, Anis rescues Euphyllia on the flying broom she is testing. She decides to make Euphyllia her assistant, which the other girl reluctantly agrees to. Although their partnership appears random at first, Anis has an ulterior motive for wanting Euphyllia's company.

I might be writing this review still riding the high of finishing the 12 episodes, but this anime really surprised me—similar to I’m in Love with the Villainess (which I’ll call LWV).
The first season wrapped up beautifully. The arcs are strong, and every character manages to be engaging.
In contrast to LWV, the protagonists here feel much more grounded in their personalities, which makes them feel real and easy to connect with. You end up caring not only about them, but also about the supporting cast around them.
The story leans more into magic, ambition, character drama, and even noble politics, giving it a stronger action-drama vibe ... compared to LWV’s heavier romance focus. That said, romance is still present—and honestly, this anime blends romance with other themes better than anything else I’ve seen so far. Usually, when shows try to juggle two very different genres, one ends up overshadowing the other. But here? It’s a perfect mash-up. Everything ties together—the development, the characters, and the shifts in the plot.


My only critique is that the prince’s storyline could’ve been fleshed out more. Still, the way the aftermath was handled makes it clear that the author’s intent wasn’t to dwell on the event itself, but rather on its consequences.

Posso estar escrevendo esta review ainda na euforia de ter finalizado os 12 episódios, mas esta obra conseguiu me surpreender tanto quanto I’m in Love with the Villainess (daqui em diante, LWV).
A primeira temporada foi concluída de forma excelente. Os arcos são muito bons e todos os personagens conseguem ser cativantes.
Diferente de LWV, as protagonistas aqui são bem mais pé no chão em termos de personalidade, o que as torna mais naturais. Você realmente se apega a elas e também às personagens ao redor.
A trama dá mais destaque à magia, à ambição, ao drama dos personagens e até à política envolvendo nobres e seu povo, resultando em um tom bem mais ação-drama do que LWV, que é fortemente voltado ao romance. Ainda assim, o romance não fica de lado—pelo contrário, eu diria que esta é a obra que melhor soube mesclar outro tema com o romance até agora. Normalmente, quando animes tentam combinar dois gêneros distantes, acabam focando muito em um e negligenciando o outro. Aqui, para mim, foi uma mistura perfeita. Tudo se alinha: o desenvolvimento, os personagens e as mudanças que a trama envolve.


Minha única crítica seria o fato de a trama do príncipe poder ter sido mais elaborada. No entanto, a obra conduz muito bem o pós, o que me faz pensar que realmente não era foco do autor explorar aquele acontecimento em si, mas sim as consequências dele.

Mixed Feelings

I really really wanted to like this! It starts off super strong with a very unique premise where the mc is strong, LOVES magic, but CAN'T use magic.

Instead, she's developing magic tools using magic stones to fulfill her dreams of being a magician. Sounds very intriguing!

Her character is quirky and a bit plain, which is balanced by the secondary character who is very pretty and well-reserved. Although to be honest, the overall art and animation for this anime is really beautiful. Most characters, food, scenes, are drawn beautifully.

I love the parents, particularly the fathers in this anime too. The little scenes and side stories were ... great.

So what's not to love?

The bigger plot.

While they did really well in most parts, the bigger overall stuff was so annoyingly bad.

Like, the villain's reasoning was so... unreasonable. It's stupid.

The political stuff started compelling but ended up feeling forced just so there would be conflict.

Towards the end, a lot of things don't make sense. A lot happened for the sake of drama. The reasoning and justification for their actions and decisions just didn't convince me.

And then poof, everything went back to being perfect. Happy ending yey!

Overall, it held great promise. But at the end of the day, it just made me angry 😅

It's a good anime especially in the Yuri genre. The characters are loveable especially Anis. The anime is worth to watch up till episode 9-10 from there the story juts becomes forced. The story is forced to be more emotional hence ruining the general mood created by the proceeding episodes.
The animation quality is decent or even well done if I do say so myself. Being a fan of Yuri made me not give this a 3 rating. The conclusion was rushed and not properly constructed. Honestly disappointing.from episode 9 things just started going 180° turns things which don't seem realistic started happening.the resolution of ... matters especially the forced climax of the anime from episode 9 was resolved in a shabby manner and a character who was good but not great was over hyped makeing her manage a feat which was uncredited for by the trends of the anime.
