Wacky and Trippy Anime

A list of anime that I've seen that I think are good enough to deserve more recognition. This list features anime that are both underrated (usually anime that are rated a 6 or lower by MAL) and series that are underappreciated (anime with solid ratings but are severely under watched).

This stack is for modern or relatively modern anime that are done in a nostalgic-classic style. I mean, old character designs and aesthetics, themes, tropes or formula, direct quotes homage for old animes, etc. As an option, new sequels (spin-offs) to old shows or their complete reboots for a modern audience. Or if their first adaptation at all can come true just in our times (Or if they were adapted at all for the first time only in our time).

An assorted stack of anime series involving alien characters on Earth or set in alien planets.

For anime with sequels, only the first seasons of each have been included in the stack. The genres include (but are not limited to) Comedy, Drama, Romance, and Action

Anime that come out in 2024, for which I'm hyped for and anime that sound interesting, with the date they premiere on.

Shinji Takamatsu is a Japanese storyboard artist, screenwriter, and director. He is best known for his direction in anime such as After War Gundam X (1996), KochiKame (1996), School Rumble (2004), Gintama (2006), Daily Lives of High School Boys (2012) and Grand Blue Dreaming (2018).

basically every romance anime that aired in 2024. I’ve only seen a handful of them.

Pretty much what the title says, animes centered around hotels and other types of paid for temporary housing.
