Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo

"Kinoko Inu" and "Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo" are animes about fantastic creatures that came to ordinary family by chance. This creatures kind of makes chaos, but also helps this family members to live more happy life. This stories about people coming through though times and finding some sense in connection with unusual "animal", that are eccentric and has distinctive views on life. This animal engage new peoples in family and helps in problem solving with their positive nature. This works are homey, light, fulfilling and touching. 

Both are comedies about families that bring home a strange bird that's obsessed with Japanese cooking and helps the family. Both families start out apprehensive of the bird but it gradually improves their life. 

Two shows that are slice of life and comedic by nature featuring a creature that has started living with a family of humans which ends up changing them in a positive way through exciting new daily activities slowly fixing issues within their families. Both of them happen to have Yuria Kouzui (famously known for Ponyo), where in Kujima she plays as Kujima whereas Chimimo she plays as the youngest sister of the family. Chimimo is a whole lot more fantasy and moe and the activities are a lot more hyper in terms of quotas being met whilst Kujima is more neutral in terms of designs being more real-like with just daily antics and an overlooming plot where the older brother is in study hell. read more 

Slice of life anime that feature an animal moving in with a family who are able to speak the Japanese language. Mikan features a cat whereas Kujima features a errrrrr tall bird??? Both main animals adapt to life in a family after having departed living with an old man elsewhere, Mikan's old man passing away whereas Kujima's old man is from Russia and it's the bird that happens to vacation in Japan. Within both, they need to be careful to keep things a secret in order to not get caught by the public, where Mikan needs to be careful that people don't know he can speak Japanese whereas Kujima needs to be careful not to make his species of bird known to the public which can destroy the peace for his brethren. They both tend to have a bit more drama going on within its wholesome slice of life shenanigans but I think if you enjoy one, you'll definitely enjoy the other. read more 

Both feature a creature that is absurdly big for their usual size. They were cared for by their human and can do things that normal humans can do. Both are comedic and absurd at times but at the heart of their actions, tries to care for those around them.
