Jigoku Sensei Nube (2025)

Current and upcoming anime adaptations of the battle shonen manga. Includes both Shonen Jump's major hits (Boku no Hero Academia) or reboot of cult works (Shaman King, Bastard) as well as upcoming adaptations of of relatively new works.

A continuation of my previous stack, "Anime Based on Significantly Older Manga", exclusively including remakes. The manga must have been at least 15 years old when the anime released. Organized in ascending order by length of time between manga and remake.

- Spinoffs are eligible if they are loosely related enough to the original.

This will be an endlessly ever growing and changing list being updated regularly, adding in new promising releases once announced and removing ones that have already started or finished airing.

Just some good horror animes that I think everyone should watch.

This stack is intended for (relatively) old cult or nostalgic anime that have received a second wind and new relevance in our time thanks to remakes, reboots, new seasons or spin-offs. For ease of reference, I will credit new inclusions in franchises with the original source, rather than the other way around.

Anime Onegai was an exclusive platform in Latin America for anime that has been around since 2020 until it's closure on 2025, they dubbed a lot of series for the platform and now some selected titles are available in legal form. They also brought some animes that unfortunately they haven't been given permission to dub it, therefore they could only bring it with subtitles. But that's not the only type of anime that they've brought, they've also brought animes that were dubbed years ago before the release of the platform, and even redubbed some of them.

TV Asahi's brand new late-night anime programming block which broadcasts on Saturdays from 23:30 - 24:00, launched in October 2024.

This includes IMAnimation W, which broadcasts on Wednesdays from 23:45 - 24:15, launched in April 2025.

Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube is a Japanese manga series written by Shō Makura and illustrated by Takeshi Okano. It was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from August 1993 to May 1999, with its chapters collected in 31 tankōbon volumes.

A 49-episode anime television series by Toei Animation was broadcast on TV Asahi from April 1996 to August 1997. Three movies and three original video animation (OVA) episodes were released. A new anime television series adaptation produced by Studio Kai is set to premiere in Q3 2025.

By July 2024, the overall manga franchise had over 29 million copies in circulation.

- Note 2: You only need to watch the first 138 episodes of Gintama to be able to see the third movie that will be released, since it will be a remake of episodes 139-146.
