This compiles song MVs and anime affiliated with the mobile game Project Sekai (Proseka). The MV does not need to necessarily feature characters from the game, as is the case for From Tokyo, a commissioned song of the game.

Recently changed to feature all songs, not just commissioned, so give me a few days to update this.

GKIDS is an American film distributor based in New York with, according to the Los Angeles Times, a focus on "sophisticated, indie" animation. GKIDS releases critically acclaimed mostly hand-drawn, international films—such as the works of the independent Japanese anime studio Studio Ghibli—to North American audiences. GKIDS also distributes computer animated and stop-motion films in addition to hand-drawn ones, as well as American films by independent filmmakers. The name is said to be an acronym for "Guerrilla Kids International Distribution Syndicate".

In this list are those anime that have been distributed by the distributor GKIDS.

Post-2020 shows involving utaites/Vocaloid producers (inc. former). (& maybe a few 2019s since the first stack is full :v)
Most of these are first time anime appearances/collaborations.

Pre-2020: https://myanimelist.net/stacks/238

Roughly grouped by utaites > vocaloid producer units > producers > covers

May include lesser known VTubers/Singers (There's enough for its own stack but it's a bit of a grey area where many utaites have taken on VTubing and/or no longer do primarily Vocaloid covers)

I haven't been keeping up with seasonals these days so you can poke me to add stuff :D

This list covers any anime that utilizes vocal synths (VOCALOID, UTAU, CeVIO, Synthesizer-V, etc.) in some sort of way. This mostly focuses on direct usages of vocal synths within the shows, but some of the entries here are attached for more unusual reasons.

Note that I will not be counting song videos for this, nor am I cataloging simple references to Miku (so no Hyouka, for instance). I also may not have everything in-scope listed; these are just the ones I know about. If I'm missing anything, please let me know in a DM!!

The order's a bit messy due to odd overlap areas (thanks, Jashin-chan), but here's the basics and their general order:
-Shows based on Vocaloid song series
-Shows with official, licensed voicebanks
-Shows that utilize vocal synths in-show for non-musical purposes
-Shows with vocal synth characters (i.e., Hatsune Miku)
-Shows with vocal synths used in the music
-Shows that cover vocal synth songs
-Shows that reference vocal synth technology as a plot point
[Note: will update the numbers later. Feel too sick to do so currently.]

Second installment of new animes with queer content/character :D!!
Here´s the first part of this stack with 2023/2024 queer animes if you want to check it out : https://myanimelist.net/stacks/44987

: •̩̩͙ ໋ some notes •̩̩͙ ໋:

꒰ this stack includes animes with wlw/mlm relationships, trans, aroace and queer characters in general even if they don't have a specific label on them :3 ꒱

꒰ animes aired during 2025 will be on top while animes aired during 2024 are at the bottom of the list ꒱

꒰ I will be adding animes that don't have a BL/GL tag if they have explicit or obvious lgbtq+ rep ꒱

꒰ Sex shift animes will be included if explicitly queer ꒱

꒰ I will be updating this stack whenever a new queer anime airs or I find a queer character in any 2025/2024 anime~ ꒱

꒰ Upcoming/Announced queer animes will be added as they air so this stack doesn´t get taken down :) ꒱

꒰ Suggestions are welcome :D! ꒱

✦‎ And again, please don't be homophobic If you don't like this stack just block me you don't need to send me slurs or death threats alright😭 ✦‎ ‎

Here's a list I made to kind of give some recommendations and a little mini timeline of anime that were made for otakus throughout the decades of anime history. Of course, with only 50 spots in a genre lasting 60+ years, I had to massively limit the anime I could include. Going with a rule of doing 10 animes for the 70s/80s and then 10 for every coming decade. I, of course, couldn't include every anime I wanted; I could it'd have to be at least 100.

Also, I know Doremi came out in 1999, but the majority of the series happens in the 2000s, so that's why I put it in the 2000s decade.

"tsundere" is a term for a character who has loving deredere feelings for their love interest but is unable to be honest with them so they end up acting distant, standoffish, and stuck-up to conceal them. they can't be honest with the person they like so they will pretend not to be interested in them at first and act distant to hide their embarrassment while also struggling to convey their loving feelings despite their inability to be honest. they have a habit of acting all lovey-dovey when alone with their love interest, but when people are watching they treat them coldly to hide their embarrassment.

however, after becoming closer to their love interest and falling in love to the point that they can no longer deny their feelings, they will start to show a more honest and openly loving deredere side towards them. they will start behaving in cute ways and wanting their love interest to be intimate with them or tell them that they love them even in public, actively seeking to be spoiled by their affection.

this list also includes platonic tsunderes!

In fictionland, some places just don't agree with the laws of physics, geography, and the way we understand the world.

Eldritch Locations take many forms: Lost Worlds, Wonderlands ("Wonder" is not always a good thing), Strange Planets, Incomprehensible Voids (like the Primordial Chaos), Giant Skulls of Eldritch Abominations, the insides of Eldritch Abominations, Alternate Universes, ordinary-looking buildings... basically, wherever the author decides could use some weirdness.

In Dark Fantasy & Sci-fi Works, These Places are usually depicted as bad places, but not always. The ones that aren't are usually sources of wonder, or perhaps forms of outright fun, such as Surreal Humor.

If this place is a planet or country, then it will often feature an Alien Sky, as well as Mix-and-Match Critters or Starfish Aliens by the herd. Expect all geometries to be alien or sinister, and reality to be taking the day off. However, like any self-respecting Cosmic Horror Story, you can bet this is only a small part of its fundamental strangeness.

If it even exists in the same dimension as our seemingly Insignificant Little Blue Planet that hangs somewhere in the perhaps infinite reaches of existence itself, chances are it's either outside the world entirely (and often accessible only by a Cool Gate), or located in a strange, unknown corner of the Earth. It may have never been seen by man before. If so, expect at least one character, upon seeing it, to widen his eyes and gasp: "What is this place?!" Although The Very Edge of Everything is usually not an Eldritch Location itself, it's common for there to be one just over the Edge.

You could throw me into a pit that that's a thousand feet deep with nothing but game rhythm animes in them and you would come back 10 minutes later, it would just be me in the pit sitting at very bottom.

This is a stack of anime titles that feature Hatsune Miku.

Please note:

💙 Some entries are for an entire franchise rather than the specific season where she appears.

💙 For a few titles, if you cannot find her in the exact season I've listed, you may need to watch through the franchise.

💙 Her appearance in some of these anime is only a brief glimpse or cameo.
