Kami no Tou: Koubou-sen

Apart from the animation being a little stiff the s2 is worth watching (people complaining about the story not having too fast progress should try reading the manhwa ) someone who just watched the anime the pace was good . The story personally has the workshop battle and while there are many new characters i think the story does a pretty good job introducing them .

Animation - the animation is a bit stiff (but not power point, I seriously think people can atleast differentiate between power point and stiff animation ) it's fine if someone doesn't have understanding of animation, i don't have too ... much as well however the animation is not power point not the most fluent .

Artstyle is a little different but not too noticeable .

Clothes - personally Viole 's blue outfit just seemed soo random and one thing which felt like it didn't suit the character, I wonder if it's same in manwha or not

Story pace - considering tower of god story i think the pace is fine it's neither too fast nor too slow . It can feel boring at some parts but the pace is really not a big problem considering the fact that the story has soo many aspects ( I do hope people complaining about the not too great fight scenes and super slow pace know that having a story without too much action fight scenes , where they reveal everything fast would feel just awkward) hence I believe the pace is fine .

For impatient people - I feel like it applies to a lot of stories but a story like tower of god may require many seasons and though I haven't read manhwa it's evident from the anime there will be more arcs and seasons .
• maybe reading a manhwa would be a better option if the animation or the pace is bothering some people.


Story explanation - it's true that we still do not know too much about the tower and would appreciate if there's a next season they explain more about the tower.
And the rankers and regular irregular system.

Reunion - the end is satisfying of the season .

Song - the song animation is creative and the music is also very good .

Personal opinions - overall I read the reviews and I wanted to talk about how the budget may be a reason for stiff animation. Honestly a lot of anime have a very great action fight scenes but lacks the story part where they only focus on fight scenes and then skip story or end it too short .
Hence why I think tower of god animators does a pretty good job at creating this balance between fights scenes and story there's great potential to the story . I personally think people should be more understanding even a little bit because the story budget of animation or about the bts we don't know much of and from a viewer's experience had no complaints tower of god is like one of those stories where there's many aspects ans parts and finding a balance or explaining could be hard ( at the same time too much explanations would ruin the fun of story ) and a little big suspence and slow revealing helps I wish we could have gotten more seasons and smoother animations but the current studio and anime is fine the story will need more seasons and I really wish they can give better explanations. But personally giving it a low score of 6 doesn't make sense . I feel these days people are watching anime more for graphics and animations being super smooth or pretty which while is important I think the story too is important and I find the pace fine I don't normally dislike animes too much but it's sad to see people complaint only about the one aspect that is animation ( when we don't know about the budget ) . ( A very personal opinion: nowadays there are many pretty animes with beautiful animations and story is straight up shit but they get 7 or 8 ,9 reviews with just one scene being nice ) But then story like these people only focus on bad aspects on brighter side I actually appreciate the studio making it a fine pace.

I understand others opinions and perspectives but I think we can do better than just commenting about the animation stiffness ( since that really has to do more with budget ) and studio.

While animes animations are important it's a nice reminder that studies are based off on manhwa and manga or adapted so maybe some issues could be with the story itself instead of adaptation into anime , I can't say in case of tower of god but I do know some stories where the manwha or manga just had a slower pace and the animation just followed that .

Tower of God is another anime where games are played, which is a good basis for me in itself, which attracts me. Anyway, Tower of God works not only with games, which are often in the background, but also with its own plot and heroes, whose character it slowly builds. The first episode of the entire series seems weaker to me, however, then the first season gets going quite well and we have both interesting games and the establishment of interesting relationships between the characters, but I have to highlight the very conclusion of the first season, which brings a great plot twist. The second ... season starts dubiously, throwing a person into something they are not very interested in, but they quickly get back on their feet and the first part of the second season is actually a great continuation, unfortunately the second part of the second season is already weaker - the big game itself is quite boring, killed by a larger plot, which is however confusing and not very interesting at the moment. The characters are nice, the plot is also nice, the games themselves are sometimes good, sometimes boring, but overall I still enjoy it, I just hope it doesn't get extremely drawn out and maybe the creators know where they're going.

Tower of God – From Intriguing Mystery to Disjointed Chaos

The first season of Tower of God was like a seductive invitation to the unknown: a universe with potential, a mysterious protagonist and a climbing system that aroused curiosity. There were well-positioned intrigues, characters with defined roles and a narrative progression that, despite not delivering all the answers, made the viewer believe that they would come.

This feeling of discovery, of climbing not just a tower, but layers of motivation and revelation, created an engaging atmosphere. Even without understanding all the mechanisms, the plot maintained its rhythm, and the central dilemmas — such as the relationship between ... Bam and Rachel — offered the kind of tension that kept us hooked.

But it was only when the season turned for the anime to lose this guiding thread.

What was once a controlled mystery became an overdose of disconnected elements: rankings with no logical scale, secret organizations stacked on top of each other, characters with stories that begin and never end. The plot becomes fragmented, and the viewer goes from curious to exhausted, trying to follow a storyline that seems to reinvent itself with each arc without concluding the previous one.

What could have been a great journey of maturation and overcoming is diluted in repetitive cycles: a new character with a secret past, a random connection with another character, a predictable betrayal, and a vague promise that "one day everything will be revealed". But that "one day" never comes.

While the first season suggested an anime about ambition, strategy and the price of ascension, the following seasons delve into a maze of parallel plots with no real emotional weight. Bam's leading role also suffers: instead of seeing clear evolution, what we have are specific moments of power without a narrative construction to match.

In the end, Tower of God is the portrait of wasted potential. It started as a game of chess and turned into a game of chance. Those who watch it bet that at some point logic will return — but the tower seems to have gotten lost in its own maze.
