A project jointly developed by Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) — the creator of the LIGHT ANIME production technique and business scheme, and Imagica Infos, a company that produces video content with a foundation in publishing. By utilizing the LIGHT ANIME method, Animation ID discovers and produces high-potential content that has yet to be adapted into animation, creating a new model for visual storytelling.

The core strength of Animation ID lies in its ability to dramatically reduce both production costs and lead times while maintaining quality. Compared to traditional animation production, the LIGHT ANIME approach enables faster, more cost-efficient development, making it possible to rapidly deploy content for terrestrial TV broadcasts and streaming platforms both in Japan and abroad. This paves the way for viewers to enjoy a broader variety of animated works more easily.

Moreover, Animation ID aims to accelerate global content distribution, not just within Japan. Through strengthened collaboration with publishers and IP holders around the world, the project promotes the animation of diverse stories across borders.
