In both stories, the characters are part of an Exorcist/Sorcery school while fighting against Curses/Spirits, all taking place in an Urban Fantasy setting. 

It’s another cool fighting anime where the MC uses blue flames as his power just like in Blue Exorcist. In both series, the MC’s abilities come from a demon. Just like in Blue Exorcist, the protagonist is a high school student training to become a stronger exorcist, with the ultimate goal of defeating the very blue-flame demon/spirit who gave him that power in the first place. I like that kind of irony the hero drawing strength from the same darkness he’s meant to destroy. It makes the journey feel more personal, not just another typical good vs evil story. 

Sudo delinquents all around. Both have solid action and engaging side characters that are fun to learn about. The main characters are both somewhat difficult personalities brought into a world larger than themselves and learn to care and fight for those who care and fight for them. Very much recommend trying them both out if youre looking for wimilar shows
