Both stories feature a male and female protagonist who unexpectedly switch places, leading them to see life from a new perspective. While Kimi no Na wa. blends romance with its body-swapping premise, Bāan: Otona no Kyoukai focuses more on self-discovery and personal growth, exploring similar themes of identity and change without the romantic element.

If you are interested in something that turly makes you feel out of this world. The animation has very little talking and introduces you to a new world while you have to understand it for yourself visually.

Both shows, show the importance of tradition, in a mystical way. Be it in a gruesome or a happy light.

Set in a futuristic Japan, both of these short movies are about people who face the tribulations of independent living. True to their nature of their tales, they explore what it means to live an earnest life whilst they grow independent from their parental caretaker. It's also gives some retrospection about the struggles on each person's work life and their struggles of leaving their place of belonging behind. Bâan delves deeper into its own narrative incorporating mythological elements, whilst Dareka no Manazashi grounds itself with a shorter yet succinct story.
