The brighter the artstyle, the darker the story. Shi Wai or Another World is a beautiful artwork that depict reincarnation as something pure and should not intervened by Sin. Shi Wai really opened my eye about a story that is simple on the outside but can be very complicated on the other hand.
Story 8/10
Shi Wai's story is divided into two sections, the past and the present. The past section follows Gudo, a spirit guide in another world, who meets Yuri, a young girl who has died and wants to find her little brother in the another world. And the present section follows Gudo with various

different people with the same story, they have the seeds of hatred. The story is quite simple, but Shi Wai examines each person's different problems and presents it in quite an epic way.
Art 9/10
As i said at the beginning, The brighter the artstyle, the darker the story. Shi Wai has the same artstyle as most of the 2D western movie and dont be fooled by that, because this series depicts blood and gore in it. I love the artstyle and some of the battles contain CGI.
Music 9/10
The music quality in this film is quite good. The background music in the fight scenes makes the audience feel like they're in the action and doesn't get boring. Some of the music used for key scenes is also very on point.
Character 9/10
Gudo, as the main character in this film, has a very significant character development, not only does his portrayal of emotions change, but he becomes a very different person from before. Several other characters also have very good development, especially Gudo's friends. And Yuri, as the second main character, is less shown how her character development is, but overall the character development in this film is good.
Overall my rating for this Movie is 9/10. This movie is really underrated for the quality it gives.
