Movie was great and it filled in the blanks for Ohana's mom and dad. I liked how the flashbacks were framed using Mame-jii's notes. Despite some context being lost in his shorthand, Ohana was able to piece together what her mother was like growing up and once again bridge the women's feelings, thoughts, and experiences across three generations.

Wasn't without its flaws. There were some places where the flashbacks were jumpy and everyone else for the most part was sidelined. Watching the entire series first is a prerequisite.

Overall, it lives up to the movie's subtitle - felt like coming home after a long departure. You folks should totally go watch it.

The movie did come out in Japan in March. No news about the DVD/Blu Ray release.

That's why it's called a teaser. For new material you'll have to wait for the trailer.

The "teaser" is nothing more than clips from the series. I was hoping for some new scenes.
