well this has been quite the dead zone recently. oh well, what can we do theres only 4 of us.
anyway i have like 7 different manga pitches at i have no use for since i've pmuch decided on one of them that im going to work on. if anyone wants any of them for their own manga or just writing or anything really i can post the gist of what they are in a topic and they're free for taking or if you want it private so you can have it yourself and only you i can pm it or something.
yeah
just an offer.

No problem, hoping I can have a good time here.

Yeah fanfictions would definitely be a good start. In particular I've always wanted to make one for Future Diary because I really like the series and there's a particular part of the story that never got touched on that I've always been really curious about, gonna avoid elaborating on that to avoid spoilers but yeah.

That's true, a key example is with Death Note since there's the storywriter and the artist working together. Funny how the same duo wrote Bakuman and reportedly the in-manga situation is just like that, though I haven't read it for myself yet.

And don't worry, all of us are crazy in some way. xD

ps. if you guys find me ridiculous just tell me so and i'll stop, because i know i can be at times especially after looking at what i did last night.

OK first of all thank you guys for joining i honestly expected this to remain vacant for days to come. second of all, reading on what you guys have said, i agree with the whole starting with a fanfiction/doujin idea. it give you a good start without having to think of character ideas and it gives you some practice with materials and such.

And also, you dont have to be an artist to work with manga. actually, a majority of the manga making lies in the work of editors and assistants and such. plus you could also just write the story for the artist, because i know myself that working with someone who has the story and you do the art is much easier than doing it all by yourself.

Oh you. =P

I figure that if I were ever to get into storywriting it'd probably be easiest to start with a fanfiction. It's so much easier to write on characters you already know and love than to come up with your own from scratch. Only major issue is making sure your story doesn't break the established canon unless you have one of those bizarre alternate universe stories or something.

Hey, what's up?

Sadly I can't really consider myself someone who'd end up as a manga creator. I'm not very artistic and my ability to create a good story needs a lot of work. But I am definitely a huge manga enthusiast and I'm quite interested in how manga is made and such.
