I hope she is potrayed better than how she was in the anime. Also, with this starts the huge number of misunderstandings, something which MI is famous or infamous for. |

| Gôdai is really stupid with his Kyoko obsession: he doesn't know her, and MONTHS later still hangs on the physical impression she made on him when she came in. Even as a child, I never ever wished for the pair to happen and later be happy together. Meanwhile, he can't just enjoy a sympathetic person being nice for real (a niceness seemingly opposite to his kanrinin's polite/professional nicess, that often rings so false, especially with the later bursts of overreactive anger I recall from her) and also HAS TO imagine things about Kozue (and thinking mean things too). I slowly remember why I never agreed when others when there were contests between Takahashi's male leads at the school playground. While I remembered Mikata, I had totally forgotten about Kozue ! This calls back repeated and increasingly tiring TV episodes to my mind though... 3/5 For now, the crazy neighbourhood antics, the everyday life are really the main appeal of this series. Along maybe the new characters. Weird since as a child I couldn't stand any of the tenants (I often skipped bits or whole episodes or read with Juliette, je t'aime on while waiting for the next anime). @FMmatron Since you consumed the whole story recently, when is the average watcher supposed to start cheering / wishing for the couple to happen? |

| @Rei_III I did from the very beginning :P But yeah, I know what you mean. There will be some significant moments early on, the thing is that it's a slow and "frustrating" progress going in circles and accompanied by the antics of the tenants. Towards the end it will get more and more rewarding. Well, from Ranma 1/2 I was already prepared for what I would get myself into xD |
