This makes me wonder, will the main story stop once it reaches the beginning of Arashi? Is this as much as we'll ever see of these two? Or will the main story have a time skip and pick up from where Arashi left off?
Some parts of this post may be exaggerated.

Arashi takes place only during a few days, so a brief time-skip is probably likely. The real question is are they going to maintain the level of intensity they got to in Arashi or are they gonna backpedal some?

I don't know if the author has given any interviews regarding how far the series will go. But if you view Sarashina x Tachibana as a potential route for Kaoru x Nana then they still have a ways to go in the relationship.

At the end of Arashi, they're just now getting into the give and take relationship of SM whereas prior its always been Kaoru giving. They also still haven't managed to express themselves in words to each other. Then theres the whole what happens after high school. Plenty of content if the author wants to explore it.

If you think about it KxN's relationship at the end of Arashi is where SxT's relationship is at the start.

SUCH a good ending! Sad this may be the end of the narrative then, but it feels SO good to have read it now as opposed to later!

I want to believe that after the ending, Kaoru and Nana have rigorous sex that ends up with Nana pregnant and a shotgun wedding.

I WANT to believe.

They do have similarities but the one thing that separates the two are the history.

Kaoru and Nana has a strong history together, whereas Sensei and Tachibana were strangers to one another when they first met.

Next would probably the fact that they have two adults SxT who have gone through what they're going through now and managed to have a happy ending. And those two ( SxT ) are giving them tips and advice every now and then to steer them to the happy path.

Pretty much the best ending one could hope for. Now, there needs to be a sequel. An afterstory. A love confession. Still a lot to get through.

Honestly, this might be the only way Kaoru might be able to conceptualize a reality where Nana ends up with him. That guy has some serious issues with his own inferiority as well as putting Nana on a pedestal. Hell, he wont even let her talk to him at school when she clearly wants to, because he's clearly afraid of tarnishing her image by associating with him.

There are a couple of things that are off from your observations.

The first one is that Sarashina and Tachibana don't have an "S/M relationship" - they probably have "S/M sex" however ;) They have what's pretty clearly a "D/s" (dominant/submissive) relationship. Tachibana even confirms it herself when she says that she's behaves/acts in whatever way that Sarashina requests. Frankly, I think as it's portrayed in the manga it's a pretty idealized but also "low key" D/s relationship so it's possible that Nana and Kaoru might evolve this way (there's nothing extreme going on like there was during the main story line when she was acting like a dog for a day!) but the mangaka might be going for something different for Nana and Kaoru because their circumstances are different (they clearly love each other and probably have in various ways for years).

However, I think there's also another line of relationships as well that is explored when Kaoru asks Sarashina if it's possible for a dom to tell his sub that he loves her and not have their relationships change. Sarashina basically tells him that he doesn't think it's possible - and then he goes off and tells Tachibana that he loves her (lol). It's pretty funny to me because Kaoru basically takes this statement as a negative one (of course it's probably because any positive change seems impossible to him) but clearly his "bondage idol" doesn't feel the same way because he instead deepens his commitment to Tachibana.

Anyway, it will definitely be interesting to see what happens. One of the clear themes in this manga over all is the exploration of different types of relationships and what they mean to different people, so I would expect that if Nana and Kaoru manage to stay together, it'll be in a way that might just be unique to them...

Well, finished it after finishing the original story first...

Have to say that if you read it in the Original > Black Label you might get the feeling that some of the character development from the end of the original was just lost.

And if we just view it as a standalone, then it's not as great as original was. Can't really rate it better than original, so 7/10.

Wasn't exactly bad, but some things were overly exaggerated and you were kind of lost between laughing it off or actually taking it serious.
The ending also seemed a bit weird, considering all the development at the end of original... I suppose this was supposed to be read before original, but whatever impact of this open end was supposed to have was lost on me.

I suppose making black label before finishing the original was not something the author could pre plan well enough.
