Oreki - INTx maybe even ISTP
Debatable he shows 'P' traits and also both Ti and Ne function but also at times show Ni function. If this were Socionics INTP would be the PERFECT fit due to the fact that INTP in socionics still tends to use Ni.
The reason why he shows Ti is he comes to logical conclusions knocking down irrational/illogical possibilities which he is open to (Ne) unlike Ni which is not and can only see one possibility.
Imo he is more INTP than anything

Chitanda - ENFP for sure

Mayaka - ISFJ imo

Satoshi - ESTP
Yup he is very ESTP like :D

I definitely see where your coming from with the Oreki possibly being INTP thing. Same for Mayaka, I think she seems more SFJ than STJ. I just can't decide if I think she's an extravert or not :/

Oreki: He can be hard to type. I'd say INTP with an incredibly weak Fe and a highly developed Si. This would explain why he can appear as an ISTJ at times. (The only thing keeping me from typing him as an ISTJ is his format of logic which resembles Ti... and the fact I don't sense much Fi world inside him). So I agree on INTP

Chitanda: Right now my vote goes for ENFP. The more I think about it though, the more she could pass for an ISFJ... So any of those two could be for me. Her first function is definitely a perceiving one, that is all I can say with certainty.

I agree with you,he uses a lot of Si,but the way he think is Ti.

@ColdNobility I still think so, yeah :p I understand where the INTJ notions come from though. The four letters can deceive one from the actual cognitive functions that go along with them.

If you'd like to discuss..
What type do you think Chitanda is and why?

When I first watched the show I was certain she was an ENFP but I did not know much about MBTI nor cognitive functions back then and so I typed her only upon superficial first impressions. Now that I know a little more, I am less hasty to type her. I now actually think her behavior pattern points towards ISFJ. Maybe sharing our ideas and opinions might help me clear up my mind

Oreki isn't an INTP definitely , he isn't interested in theories or solving difficult problems and mysteries,he wasn't curious about that he was just forced by chitanda, his laziness isn't like INTPs kind of lazy its like an unmotivated INTJ, i think he is an INTJ , it seems that he has high (Ni) also his way of rejecting theories is similar to an INTJ , i also remember that he said (I don't even know how did these theories come up to my mind ) an INTP wouldn't say that at all , i don't know how can you classify him as INTP , he is an INTJ I think

You make a really good point here. I'm going to have to re-watch to be sure, but I think you're totally right-- Ni usually works without the user even really noticing it's happening. It just results from their inferior Se gathering information in the background and Ni forming logical conclusions based on that without the host even necessarily intending to.. Definitely think I agree with you there. Thanks for commenting!

Chitanda: ENFP
Satoshi: ENFP
Mayaka: ISTJ

Then we get to Oreki. I'm still torn on whether or not he's INTJ or INTP. His lack of motivation and life goal of conserving energy tips me off to thinking he's more INTP, however his way of solving problems seems to indicate more of an Ni dominant thought process. His inner thoughts and reactions to Chitanda toying him around also seem to exude a strong Te vibe as well (especially in the light novels). For now, I say he's INTJ, but perhaps that could change sometime in the future.
