| I have brought this topic up because because I love "Spice And Wolf" in fact it's my number one favorite Anime of all time. I've seen Anime and reading the light novels so I have a pretty good understanding of it. Anyway, I can understand stand why people may not like the scenes with nudity because out of context it can be seen by many non anime watchers as "well you know". However in these days I think it is a big misconception that all nudity in anime is merely fanservice and thats all it ever will be. I don't think people should think that the purpose of nudity is mainly to "well you know". However this is false, as in all forms of art, nudity has been used to convey many different meanings and themes. I don't think anime should be excluded in using nudity in a mature way. I believe Spice and Wolf is one of those anime that its mature enough to use nudity with out being branded as fanservice. I wish to discuss this topic and share my analysis of the many deep themes this underrated show has. |

| I just wish that they would. Nudity isnt always expected but I have to say, I do like it. Who wouldn't. I'm human after all. But to be honest this is a more mature anime, the lack of true nudity as taken me a back. Even if it was a natural scene, like a bath, or they wake up together. Or even better, them actually having sex. It would finally put to it to rest. When a anime has a little nudity it stands out. Unlike hentai, which is all about nudity. Some have story or plot but most just have a majority of sex with a a subtle or Manute amount of plot. I hate seeing so much sexual tense and not showing anything. If you're going to put a lot of sexual tense into a story, especially an adult level one. There's even a little bit of a expectation of some nudity. I would see a little nudity acceptable, but not to much. If they get married their first time. If they have kids giving birth(if'e on how elicited it should be). Depending on the story, if it were a story of life. Then sex and nudity would be expected in some form. But actually going about it would be something of a challenge. Unless you just go for it. To get a perfect example, would be the series ' trinity Seven ' or 'is that a zombie, is that a zombie of the dead '. Both are Harem style animes. The stories 100% skirt around the subject of showing nudity. I just wished if you're going to flirt so much with it, just show it already. It becomes annoying when you don't just go for it. It's like, are they going to. Nope, more leading a person on. If you show it, then people would stop thinking about it so much. A classic example, and my finally point. Would be a bathing suit accidentally falling fall. Perfect time for nudity. You can show men and women, because embarrassment is a right a passage in growing up and in living ones life. Not to much, but just enough to not get a inflated ego. P.S. Sorry for the rant. Thank you to those who may ha e actually fully read this. Just another person's opinion. |
