| Just finished reading up to this point. It was a good read but is it just me or apart from "after timeskip arc" the whole mahva is a sequence of both "training arcs" and "tournament arcs"? Well maybe I am grouping it too much as normal training and hunting spirit can be consider two separate things but then again it can be called "power up arcs". Still it seems that all that was leading to this and now it's time for the war! Other than that I want to complaint that MC is unreasonably overpowered, and the only time I was surprised he won was when he took out that seventy something level guy with the use of that poison he made earlier on. Other than that there were no surprises in fights that involved MC as either he would get recked by +70 level masters or MC would reck anyone. Other big complain would be how the story made long introduction to the white spirit sage and giving that power to "Boss" just to take it away few chapters later. Sure it's given that later in the story he will get it back but the fact that that power was taken away feels so plot forced. I mean otherwise the rest of the tournament would be an easy steam roll last battle included. In the end my thought on that is simply that author realized that by giving that power to Boss, his protagonist wouldn't be the most overpowered and broken being in the universe (around his level at least) so that power had to be taken away. The next time we see that power it will be when MC becomes so broken that even with that Boss's power up the MC will still be more powerful (even if by little bit). The last other small complain I have is that was it really worth it to hide away power of the seven glass girl and tofu guy? I mean it was hidden away all the way to the finals but was that surprise effect really that big? It still ended with MC's new broken attack after all. If it ended at the part where they eat the chilli pepper then maybe but it did not. Anyway now that I complained a little I feel better so all in all it is a good story and I am looking forward to the next chapter. |
| seems like itll be quite some time before shreks 7 monsters will be back together, or should i say 6? i guess this makes room for the blue tyrant lightning kid to join their crew. gonna be awkward when xiao shows up and they are like wheres xiao wu? and hes just got a 100k spirit ring. but i knew this would happen the moment they told us his dads story like fate was repeating itself. Spirit hall seems to be making their move. Funny thing is thing is xiao tang is reaching all 3 requirements from his clan master in 1 swoop. 1. Get a spirit hall titled douluos head (got plenty of em around and even the one who killed his mom) 2. get a 10k spirit ring (i think 100k more than quilifies) 3. Ascend to the Douluo world within 5 years (mighta been 10 years eitherway the chance of him ascending many ranks like how his dad was only rank 78 but went 90+ after absorbing a 100k spirit ring. They made it seem like compatibility is a large part of deciding your spirit ring but i wonder if such things even matter anymore when you get to 100k. I assume there are so few 100k spirit beasts that you can't exactly decide to be picky and look for a compatible one, so 100k prob doesnt have the compatibility problem. That being said i wonder what ability he'll gain from this its not like rabbit and grass/hammer are very similar. but his dads strength was obviously not hindered by this fact. Wonder if itll be like access to all of xiao wus abilities. |
