If you're a shoujo fan, then you'd probably heard something about animator Ikuko Itoh. She seems to show her work with a clear Shoujo look along with some influence from Kanada School. Itoh worked for studio Toei for several years but became recognizable for working on the Sailor Moon series.
She'd often sakkan'd the plot heavy episodes and demonstrated a supreme versatility throughout the show, which often ranged from comedic to dramatic. She is responsible for most of the animation for the Sailor Moon OP/EDs and even became lead character designer for the Sailor Moon SuperS series.

Soon after Sailor Moon, Itoh became more invested in design work. She was character designer and animation director on Junichi Sato's "Magic Users Club" series. However, her most famous designs would be the popular "Princess Tutu" series which she created and came up with the characters long before the tv series was conceived. Her idea of Princess Tutu came from an interest of ballet dancing as a child, in which her family would often attend ballet performances.

Ito often did scattered work at animation studio Hal Film Maker. She soon left to work with studio Satelight and served as animation director on the AKB48 anime. She isn't as active as she was in the 90s/mid 2000s but recently, she was CD on the Nagato Yuki-chan series.

Here's a scene she animated in Sailor Moon...just a single scene but you can tell her work is there.
