| I think he explained it all in one of the nisemonogatari episodes, basically he has a different "best girl" for each activity: Gahara - Lover Kanbaru - Mistress? Hanekawa - Wants to die for her sake Shinobu - Wants to die with her Hachikuji - Marriage |

| Well just like everybody said, depends the situation. And by the way I have to say that I don't know if it is because I've already read Kizumonogatari that I don't see any contradiction in the fact that he wants to die with Shinobu, in Nisemonogatari he already tells that they will live until their time come or something like that the first time that Shinobu appears, and to me this has nothing to do with the fact that Araragi loves Senjougahara. pd: Sorry for my English if I made some mistake :D. |

| @Evildragon Think of him like a less twisted Emiya Shirou. He only wants to help people and for that he doesn't have his priorities clear or put himself in extreme danger to save them (like happened with Nadeko). However, his love is only for Hitagi, as he made clear in Nekomonogatari: Shiro. MortalMelancholy said: You're right. He was simply born a person unsuitable for monogamous relationships. This, more or less, for that reason he rejected Hanekawa in the Second Season. |
