Readers of the manga, how does the anime compare?

Hi guys! My apologies if this is a redundant question. I really enjoyed how amiably the anime was directed and am curious if I should start the manga now that Aragoto is over. I know there were a few story changes but to what extent is it different? Does the manga have the same charm that the anime does?

Edit: I mean in sort of a sense how HxH and AoT are very different as manga and anime
