| At first I was upset, I was excited to see Mako get real down to business and crack some skulls, or at least manipulate the situation smoothly. Yet, I adore the Seki and Tatsuhiko relationship already and I'm happy it went this way, they remind me of Sanji and Zoro's dynamic. The two have the kind of 'hate' where they just don't like each others faces and butt heads. "His hairs dumb, he straight up denied being my goon, and he if he sees a mirror he has to just stand there and stare in it". Both are stubborn guys who live by their rules and their rules alone and because of it they butt heads hardcore. I can't believe the chapter started with me being repulsed by Seki and ended with me really liking him. It was seriously absolutely exciting the whole time though. The stylish meeting. Mako picking up on the situation right as the boss asked to see Seki alone. Seki's heated response that I think comes from him being disgusted that he's being used to start some fireworks and hide behind the yakuza instead of them going in themselves to deal with their problem. The knowing 'watch your back out there' Mako gave Seki knowing what they'd get into. It all had so much style and meaning to it and it flowed so fast and smooth. "Let's get wild", "Let's start beating the shit out of them". Seki lives like he poops and talks about jerking off, crude and straight forward. Plus it led to yet another amazingly cool Tatsuhiko moment, "you're the one who hit her right?", to exact some righteous revenge on the face he memorized for beating a woman in front of him, to release some of that disappointed he had earlier. I hope he broke Hide's nose with that headbutt so badly. Then it ended in the way that made me love Seki. He went here purposefully to pick a fight and lose. He let Tatsuhiko go in and get some payback to ignite a fight, but then he told him to leave so he wouldn't get beat up too. And he came knowingly to lose brutally, no two guys could beat a mob like that and the quick cut to their beaten and bruised bodies was perfect. Yet, the fact that he came to lose made Tatsuhiko realize he may not like him but that resolve and duty he had to do so without complaining was enough to move our boy. That was some manly stuff and it cracked a seriously jolly smile on Tatsuhiko's face, he saw the strength of the crude Seki underneath his sleazy appearance. Beautiful stuff. P.S. this mangaka's art is amazing all the time but I adore the way the hurt are drawn. The black eyes and the swollen lips, the blood, the dirt, it all feels so real and it adds to the fact that our characters get their ass beat so much! I love this manga! Why is there no anime!??! Well, I'm sure it couldn't do it justice anyways. |
