Who on earth are Arslan's real parents? Who is Queen's real child? I am tired of waiting for answers.

I don't recommend to read this, as it literally spoils the excitement you may have... But if you want it...

King as in real King, or as a proxy for Andrgoras.

Since the last episode, it isn't clear whether Arslan has ever become a king or not

What language did you read the novel in? I'd like to start reading the novels as well.

I'm afraid I read it in original Japanese...sorry I can't be of help...

If you have not read manga yet, I recommend it. Though it is far behind the anime in story development and manga has also changed some part of the original, it follows the original story more thorough than anime and we can read many events that were skipped or changed in it.

There are lots of spoilers, but I think for now reading manga is the best way to enjoy the original story, for I regard that one of the most attractive point of it is the way each character say something (which is sometimes a bit ironic and twisted).
