I know this might sound ridiculous and ,I know I haven't read the trilogy and it will be forgotten But I think I could guess that there is one connection to the DOUBT trilogy and that's two words 'VENGEANCE and VIGILANCE' from the mysterious antagonists
The reason is that in the first part of the trilogy DOUBT-The mysterious Antagonist revealed as Rei seeks vengeance on the people who don't believe her hypnotic ability that it cause her parents who supported her committed suicide which is why she created the game DOUBT and seeks vengeance on the people who don't believe her ability
The second part of the trilogy JUDGE-has the antagonists who were a group of people kidnaped various people responsible the death of their friend named Atsuya. Which one of the characters Hikari is one of the mysterious antagonist group because she fell in love with Atsuya and that his brother Hiro one of the protagonists is unexpectedly responsible for his death so she killed him as vengeance for killing her love.
The third and possibly final part of the trilogy SECRET has another mysterious antagonist kidnaps six survivors of a tragic bus accident because one of them is responsible for that tragedy that kills people and it could be the one of the survivors who becomes an antagonist because he seeks vengeance of the conspirators who killed his or her friends.
So my theory on the 'DOUBT' trilogy is that both three antagonists have something in common VENGEANCE and VIGILANCE.Because the antagonists seeks vengeance on the people responsible for their beloved ones death so they decided to do vigilance to make their "own" Justice against the people who are responsible for it.
Perhaps if SECRET is the final part of the DOUBT trilogy,I think i can guess what will happen in the final chapter perhaps like the end of the previous trilogy the antagonist will reveal himself or herself in the penultimate chapter and will kill the protagonists while hiding his or her crimes leaving the antagonist as the survivor.
In the final chapter both three antagonists of the trilogy will appear in one place but remain separated and not to meet each other face to face something like the three color trilogy ending from the film red, they will wonder if they did the right thing or not and inside they feel guilty of what they have done.
Perhaps as the result they will be killed either by suicide because of too much guilt or perhaps they will be"hoist by their own petard" when a relative of one of the deceased protagonists of the DOUBT trilogy will kill them for what they did or maybe the antagonist of the trilogy will remain alive and let their crimes remain hidden and go unpunished but still feel guilty for what they did something similar to what happened to Patrick Bateman from the ending of American Psycho.
Anyway my guess is with the connection to the 'DOUBT' trilogy is that the Antagonists have one thing in common VENGEANCE and VIGILANCE and perhaps in a final chapter of the trilogy which is SECRET they will feel guilty and wonder if what they did was the right thing or not.
So that is what i think is the one connection to the 'DOUBT' trilogy -DOUBT,JUDGE,SECRET and that's VENGEANCE and VIGILANCE
