What the character say in this chapter about the evolution of his mentality through the years ("in my teens; twenties; thirties") coincide with what Asano said about his changes of state of minds as a mangaka during is career. Lying around the turn over box thrown at the end of the chapter, you can see that it's real pages coming from "Solanin" , one of his most liked work. I view it as a sort of little "game" between him and his fan (as myself) he is deliberately doing. |

The change in mentality over the years is what I found most intriguing about this chapter but at the same time it also paints a very dispirited opinion, if that truly is his own outlook then I can't help but feel a little sad for him. I haven't read Solanin yet but I do plan too, wish I could've caught onto the reference. |
