| The enemies sudden exit sure was unexpected. If Sakura hadn't taken action Sarada will be the one that would have been taken. So the enemy wanted Sakura to heal them then. So all these kids of his are clones that were created from his teeth then. Now thats a way of creating allies easily. Guess the villain doesn't see the clones or his son as human then and rather as expendable resources. Orochimaru eh thats a rather unexpected name to hear now of all times though. But then again only he would have the know how of being able to create that special arm of the enemy though. Sasuke's logical nature can rub people off the wrong way and it seems that its affecting Sarada here. Its not that Sasuke isn't worried about his wife though. Its nice that Naruto is still trying to help Sarada find Karin though despite the serious situation. To think that the villain has such a warped view of what a body actually is though. To him everything but genes is unimportant it seems. So his reason will wanting to revive Akatsuki was because he wanted to promote conflict and thus create new genes. Sasuke sure is carefree in Orochimaru's HQ though. Orochimaru seems to have adapted to peace rather well. He at least looks more human with that hairstyle. So Shin was in fact one of Orochimaru's test subjects as expected. So Shin is a clone thats obsessed with the Uchiha clan then. So Sarada still thinks that Karin is her mother then. Funny how she managed to rope in Suigetsu to help her though. The result of that test and Sarada's reaction sure was surprising. Sasuke and Sakura really need to have a proper talk after this thats for sure. But it looks like Sarada is more focused on rescuing Sakura though. |

| I liked this episode though I'm hesitant to fully believe the results of that test. Rarely is a DNA comparison a "perfect match" unless you're comparing it to itself. There's usually a number of similar markers and the higher the number, the more likely the match. So, that has me thinking something might be off. Not to mention, WaterBoy hardly strikes me as the science type. The chances of him effing something up are pretty high. The other thing is, at no point does Sakura ever react in any way that isn't 100% motherly. And her friend even said something about the birth when they were talking while Sakura was in the hospital. So, while I'm not at ALL a fan of the Sasuke / Sakura match, everything points to Sakura being Sarada's real mother. Lastly, Sarada is making an assumption based upon the similarity in her glasses and Karin's glasses. Anyone who's not a child would know that that means absolutely nothing. She can be forgiven because she's a child and children make weird connections. I'm disappointed that they got my hopes up that Karin was the mother because I truly loathe the Sasuke / Sakura match. I don't feel it was ever remotely possible. Sasuke had zero interest in her. I did love seeing Orochimaru again. He's so slimy, but so loveable. His voice was younger sounding too which was sort of a bummer. I liked his broken, crackly voice. I'm fairly certain Mitsugi was who he was asking after when he mentioned "that child." I'm curious whether Mitsugi is actually a child of his or merely a very successful creation. |

| Wow, This episode got me in my feeling even though Gaiden isn't perfect and lot of people hate it, I like how much it focuses on bonds and feelings. I love it when Naruto remember how important Iruka sensei for him. He was truly the first person to know enough about Naruto to risk his own life to protect him and that was set Naruto down the path where he could form other bonds and I'm so happy that Iruka was part of the flashbacks. One thing about Sakura, she so beautiful with her long hair, why didn't you keep it that way ? Ahhh Also, that scene of DNA confirmation was perfectly executed. I'm almost crying even though i read the manga. Good to see the old characters back again (Team taka n Oro) except Karin but she will next ep. And i'm expect awesome animation vs Shin next week. Hyped |

| If only I wasn't spoiled on who the mother was.. Seeing Suigetsu, Jugo and Orochimaru there was really nice, and I still love the forshadowing done in the anime like Orochimaru's line to Naruto (We also know they got info on Mutsuki from the first arc) Could Sarada get Uzumaki chains later down the line like Karin did? Too bad this arc will end, was really enjoying it.. Looking forward to the last episode. |
