@VladimirNabokov, duration on MAL is right. The video is 1 min 59 seconds.  MAL's home display just doesn't show the seconds slot unless the duration is only in seconds. |

Oh, never mind then. Though I thought you always round up the minutes once you're past a certain point e.g. 1 min and 50 seconds = 2 minutes. I could be wrong about that though |

| @VladimirNabokov, I wish they would display the whole thing. The super detailed seconds are what are factored into total Days duration for profiles and provide more accurate information overall. A lot of old MAL entries are rounded b/c the database was originally imported from AniDB as they round. There have been some shows where there was a total duration had a 2+ hour discrepancy because of the rounding. I try to submit changes when I see stuff like that for shows I had just watched. Time Calc is my best friend. (Especially for Chinese anime which have wild durations. 7 min in one ep, 37 min in another.) Plus the Shorts Clubs live on having the display data be less that 15 min. If it's 00:15:59 it gets to join. If it's 00:16:01 it can fuck off. A bunch of hentai had rounding issues when I first became a mod. We lost a bunch and gained a bunch all at the same time. |
