Damn, Okabe wakes up in 2036 after not remembering what happened, only to found out that he basically dead since 2025 and got the memories back of the year 2011, just before he failed his time leap.

Rukako dying and seeing Okabe in pain because of it :(

I'm glad he finally decided to go back for the Steins;Gate, not much he could lose anyways since he's now lost 25 years of his life.

"She" was born in 2017, Okabe was captured in 2025, so "she" was 8 years old then. Plus Okabe aged and he looks terrible since he was in coma.

So the timeleaper was incomplete and kept a copy of Okarin in it which they used in the future to bring back Okarin state of mind.

Looks like Okarin has found his resolve again to keep trying until he succeeds

I'm now comparing everything to ep18 and it's still not as bad, I actually cried a bit at Ruka's death. Though again, I guess they just skipped the action sequence so as not to repeat the same atrocity that happened in ep18 lol. I understand that the staff wanted Ruka to look cool but I think they overdid it in making him jump from the building with a sword when he had a rifle.......And Faris didn't seem to have trouble escaping regardless....She also could've just called for reinforcements by radio or whatever, without leaving Rukako....eh.

Story-wise the episode was alright though. After failing to time leap, Okabe, Maho and Daru exceeded the 48-hour limit...and then what? They failed to save Mayuri and Suzuha anyway, so that the world line continued? What should've happened to them so that the 2036 Suzuha gets born?

P.S. Since when did Ruka become to refer to Okabe as Kyoma?

The time leap machine didn't work for some reason (but it saved Okabe's memories) so they lived on until 2025 (Suzuha was born in 2017). In 2025, Stratfor captured Okave who became brain dead. Then in 2036, Daru managed to rewrite Okabe's memories with his saved memories from 2011. I don't really understand your question about Suzuha.

Luka (not Ruka) always called Okabe as Kyouma, even in the original. In 0, he didn't since Okabe didn't use that name anymore. He probably started to call him Kyouma again between 2011 and 2025 (it is hinted in the episode that Okabe revived his Kyouma persona during the time between 2011 and 2025)

I'm just interested in what happened to Mayuri and Suzuha in the time machine. Did they die or disappear somewhere? It kinda was left off that something happened to them, the time leap failed and the world line continued.

Yes, they died, but it is important that Okabe didn't see their dead bodies. So it is not established that they die there.

I didn't spoiler anything so stay calm. I said they died - this is obvious from the episode.

And I said Okabe didn't see their dead bodies which is important - if you paid attention to the original series, you know that. Also, as i recall, in episode 19, Okabe also said the same thing.

So I advise you to stay calm and pay attention

My point here is, we don't know what happened to them, if they died or travel in the past, so you spoiled it kinda, even if Okabe says "how did this happened again" he is not sure since no bodys were found.

It wasn't said in the latter episodes too that they were died. It is kinda obvious that they died. I didn't spoiled anything since eps 21-22-23 didn't confirm that they died.

But it is kinda obvious they that died, since the remainings of the time machine left there. How the hell they could travel anywhere?

From the VN it is even more obvious.

Knew it, the time leap machine failed.
But because of that we saw a mature version of Rukako and Freya.
Sadly, Rukako died while protecting his comrades..

It's time to find the Steins Gate again

bro why is faris in her mid forties still looking like a middle schooler still doing this stupid shit. also why is everyone just watching ruka die. like 6 people who are all very close to him just watching him die for 3 minutes straight and not doing anything no pressure to the wounds no first aid kits wtf. this episode just felt like a shitty parody. no clue how this show is rated even close to as highly as the original. like yes bro im going to rate this show a 10 while faris is 47 and about to get gunned down but she still is going to say nya at the end of every sentence. aint no way anyone over the age of 14 calling this show a masterpiece

Forget about Faris doing her "nyan" cat shit, the important part was seeing SAMURAIS ACTION in Steins;Gate, don't you like Samurais in animes? I've heard that Samurais or Ninjas always make an anime better.

That SAMURAI part totally saved this episode because that's what I'm watching Steins;Gate for, I'm watching it to see mother fucking SAMURAIS in it.

In case you haven't realized, I'm being sarcastic, yeah that Samurai shit and Faris still doing her "nyan" shit in her forties is jarring, childish, and annoying and I didn't like it either.

I have no idea how this shit has a 8.51, this piece of crap deserves no more than a 6.5.

The part with Nae was cut out but Okabe was still known to die in 2025 though. Suzuha said so back then in Alpha.

Why time leap machine again, don't they have time machine already?

Anyhow, Ruka-samurai was the highlight of the episode if not the whole season.

Why would Okabe sacrifice 25 years of his life? It's better to time leap back to 2011.

I Apologize for my rudeness but i will ask straight.

Do you guys think there will be a sequel ? ( no matter how long it will take)

Sequel of steins gate? There isn't besides the OVA and the MOVIE and people keep repeating the same shit again and again about it "not being canon".
Otherwise, you have Chaos;Child and Robotic;Notes but those aren't very good.
Robotic;Notes is also infamous for leaving easter eggs like showing the steins gate world line number on the divergence meter, showing some Kurisu message on @ channel and having DaSH (DaruSuperHacker) help defeat the big bad with his hacker skills but he's only mentionned as far as I remember. Ah and, grown up Nae is part of the main cast there.

can u explain the what part with nae some people are talking about it
and i am getting curious

What a twist. Okabe's fever dream and the introduction of the post-apocalyptic phase well occurred, I could feel the frightening, obnoxious feeling as well as the lifeless, emptiness of the ambiance. Everyone looks so different, Daru looks like an ordinary middle-aged uncle, while Faris still keeps her same hairstyle and the same talking style, which is kinda out of place. Ruka's death doesn't feel stirring as I expected, considering the whole episode was rushed at a time, at least the call-back to the old timeline makes it negligible. The sentiment of constantly time-leaping to the past defying time and repetition impressed me, truly a mad scientist move.

So Okabe got to the year 2036 because time leap failed. Interesting. But yeah nice to see what is happening in the ww3 scenario world, and the best thing is that Okabe is still determined to save everyone, Okabe is now one of my most favourite characters of all time. Also poor Rukako.

I think the future action stuff is uninteresting but I do think its good that Okabe finally gets his head around what the future actually will be like if he doesn't get his shit together. His Hououma Kyouin persona from season 1 was pretty silly but it really grew on me. Him being a whiny sad-sack piece of shit that just cries and yells at his friends all the time (even if its somewhat justified) is definitely worse.

They sure love giving Okabe different flavors of temporal trauma, don't they?

It's hilarious how the looks of the future lab members range from barely changing (Faris and Maho) to borderline unrecognizable (Ruka and Daru). In Daru's case specifically I can visually tell it's still him but slimmer on visuals alone but hearing him talk normally is so cursed
