| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Aw, poor Tatsuhiko. Well, it was definitely mostly comedy this chapter but it was some more than that. It was funny too see Kumichi intimidating Tatsuhiko to keep Yuka safe, he seems like a truly intimidating guy who just loves Yuka very much. Tatsuhiko's comment on him becoming sworn brothers with 'boss' through Yuka as a 'sake cup' was actually disgusting. His demonic aura that he had to kept snapping himself out of shows that although he seems to have a somewhat pure love of women when in the right context he can't get his head out of there in a context like this. That said, Yuka knows how people are so to act as she did may be a big compliment to Tatsuhiko, to know he wouldn't end up trying anything. I found it interesting that normally Tatsuhiko is simple minded but lacks fear and acts like a good hearted but intimidating ball of emotions, yet here we saw his perverse side as he fought against it hilariously and also we saw him show fear for someone that wasn't Mako. The obvious yakuza Kumichi who has ties to Yuka scared the crap out of him. I suppose there wasn't anger there, just shock and fear and he was in a dog costume so there was a lot going towards him showing some genuine fear! "r-rruff..." That doggie outfit was cute and although it was a bit shocking as was what followed I think it was consistent with Yuka. It feels as though she knows how rough the world can be and because of that she cherishes innocence, kindness, cuteness. For her to have a cute dog onesie and to want to pair the adorable Tatsuhiko with it isn't surprising to me. Also, her motherly relationship seen in calming down the empty Kumichi just continues to make me see her as the mom of the series so far. She's so mom-like, taking care of all the sweet babies of the world. And I think that culmination of Tatsuhiko fighting against his perverse thoughts, being intimidated by Kumichi, and being struck down by Yuka in a soft spot due to some hypocrisy all just kinda convinced him that he came here for the wrong reasons and isn't that a great of a guy himself if he's willing to put down someone for being yakuza alone. He's also in a shady job that even gets minors taken away to be prostituted by the yakuza. I suppose Yuka's point was that the world is bad and people are bad so you can't just judge someone like he wanted to, if you did he would be considered evil too. Which is a good point, don't judge a book by a cover. P.S. I guess that was some foreshadowing that Yuka will be embracing Taku as a man one day LOL. Just, not until he's more than a cute innocent boy but instead a righteous, good man. This should be a fun journey! |
