well. that was interesting, everything is set in stone now. really goes to show the immense competition in art. it is more than just throwing a paintbrush. Yatora is sure to have some ups and downs along this path.

Started reading this manga after seeing that the anime is coming soon. These 2 chapters really resonated with me, coming from an arts background, going into design & being in arts education. With the whole world constantly saying, there’s no future in the arts. I had a similar interaction with a kid like Yatora before, his conversation with sensei really hits close to home. Can’t wait to see how they adapt this!

but i’ll probably remember over and over again
you were there and everyone else was there

This may sound incredibly cliche but i can relate a lot to the MC's mentality here.
I have always been interested in arts since i was a kid, but being serious about it was something that didnt cross my mind that much because of the low paying jobs in that area everyone and their mother keeps talking about, so i just continued my passion for art as a hobby from time to time.. but i don't feel satisfied with almost anything i'm doing.
This manga is somehow making me have the idea to pursue art as a career, i don't know, even if i don't succeed i can at least remove possible future thoughts such as "what would have happened if i was making art for a job, something that i actually enjoy".

I'm seeing myself as the guy, and seeing him actually going for it is giving me motivation. the thing is that im not on highschool anymore, but better now than never.

"This is a waste of time". Taking a hobby seriously sometimes questions myself whether I'm just wasting time especially spending tons of hours into it. It aggravates the difficulty of choosing your career path

Yatori made a big decision to pursue art and that's a solid dedication
