| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I was thinking about what this meant for Burst. If Tatsuhiko knows Hayama was responsible for betraying Burst, and specifically killing Hideyoshi, Mako is inherently involved too. The two have been in business since the beginning. I wasn't sure what would come of it exactly, if Mako would try his best to silence Hayama for instance, and if the executives would go through some change- this on top of Seki too. That was clearly too small scale, I had forgotten that Wizard had been pushing into Shinjuku under Tokimasa’s nose. This isn't just an internal problem, Wizard is threatening the entirety of Burst. It's good that the emotional with Yousuke was stacked on top of this, the first panels of Tatsuhiko were all we needed to see how he felt, from a feral scream to a shock... Knowing the dirty business that has been going on this whole time while threatening what is practically a family is quite messy. I recall some people think Taki had gone down shockingly easy, well this is why. Perhaps his ketsumochi caught wind and did give him a beating but it was too late. If I recall they bought Monbukai’s loyalty before invading and I could imagine that Hayama and Mako’s blows to that relationship didn’t help. But in another way, wasn't this Mako's stated goal? Every time a new chapter comes out I talk about how I'm going to continue my reread but I haven't done that yet because I’ve been rereading One Piece. I think starting tonight I shall actually continue my reread. |
