----------------------------------------
I am so grateful for Twisted Hel Scans allowing me to continue reading one of my favorite manga. But despite this, the curse of reading a manga with this many plot threads on an infrequent basis certainly comes up every chapter release!! That's to say, constantly trying and struggling to remember all the context of the current events and what they mean narratively and thematically. Nonetheless, it just means I get to reread the series and experience it both while it is being released, and more holistically!

As for actually talking about the current events, this feels like a conclusion. Tying up the loose ends, giving us black pages, etc. The breathtaking kind of conclusion where the events that took place, while life-changing, were covered up as if nothing ever happened.

But despite being bittersweet, it still is sweet. Team Tatsuhiko greeted their friend with the offer to get a bite to eat, the motif of returning to the status quo, and damn did I need to have that too. One thing I love about Team Tatsuhiko is their silhouettes. There was another panel of them from behind which I loved and now I realize it is because each member is so distinct! They look great from behind due to how they stand out. The unique/different hair and heights go a long way.

The other sweet part, Yousuke is.. alive?!?! We had a grave fake out, the assumption intended, I assume, was a visit to Yousuke's. But it was actually Taki's grave. Now I had a feeling that he didn't actually die when he was "killed", shot once and fallen into the water isn't conclusive. It's no blood on the train tracks! However, this way of bringing him back was unexpected. Taki gave two acts of kindness, or a final act of kindness as the chapter title puts it. In freeing Yousuke, not with death, but by making it appear as though he died. Or so it seems. The other by getting the message to Tatsuhiko so he could find out.

There are many things which I am excited to reread the arc to better understand. Taki's unreliable perspective, making him appear much stronger than he actually was, Taki saving Yousuke; what it really means, and even lying to Tatsuhiko about killing him on the roof. The promise with Seki, although still unclear.

Oh and gosh Seki, we need to see him again. And let's not forget about Hayama being KNOWN as a traitor who orchestrated Hideyoshi's death!!!! Hayama wanted Tatsuhiko dead, right?! But he's alive and it seems one will have to go!! This is such a pressing piece of knowledge that the lack of explicit focus on this is kind of unexpected for me?! Either way, Yousuke back to normal, hair down, reminiscing on the order to kill his friend, and looking at the hand which pushed him was a notable page. Hayama and Yousuke were planned like over 100 chapters ago, the start of the manga, so I expect far more to come!

I suppose I should also mention the shocking move of Sunako ratting out Tasaka and getting killed for it, and Arai moving up as president. I find these Yakuza's involvement different this time around as they were less characters and more so tools or obstacles. This wasn't the intricate roles of Amano, Tsuchiya and Haizawa from Shibuya. Further, I wonder if they will play a further role, and what will happen to the Wizards or scouting in Yokohama in general. We do know the police should no longer be in on it.. And this is why I started my first paragraph with the curse of reading a series with so many plot threads infrequently!
