| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- We have properly entered the world of Virgo. On the way in, we bore witness to the host rankings, revealing that the friend who got Tatsuhiko out of trouble appears to be in the top three. It also prepped us for Shirota Saki, his host poster looking quite shady from the moment we saw it. And along the way we met with the representative/manager, Aoi Kinji. Each one of these characters who appear to be major players within Virgo had a notable scene. Our friend who introduced Tatsuhiko gave a line about selling a false dream and getting dirty for it. This was an interesting line of dialogue because it directly reminded me of Kousei Ara, specifically chapter 67 of Shibuya. He stated that the core of their business was being heartless, some people want love and other people want money, so Inukai better use that love that Aoi's seeking to control her. We saw this being done with Mako, Inukai, and Kaede. And more than his demeanor, he has shown the cold complacency of Mako as well. When it comes to Aoi Kinji, he responded to Tatsuhiko in the opposite manner to how Mako did in the beginning of the series. Mako burst out laughing upon hearing the name Shiratori. However, in the business of hosts, having such a beautiful name seems to actually play into the business. This rep appears to be an all business type, quickly pushing Tatsuhiko into a new name and into work. As for Shirota Saki, I get some bad vibes from the guy, but I admire how flashy he is. My man's brand is French, he has the respect of everybody, style, and poses. Definitely a dominating presence. He may be as forceful as Kinji too as he influenced Tatsuhiko's host name and put his own spin on it immediately. Tatchuhiko de Shiratori. A name which has unique meaning. A bit of a somber note, as it's a nickname given to him by a 'former' senior. As well as interesting because it carries Seki with him, as well as forces Shirota Saki on his symbolic back as well. His name is a child of both, as well as keeping his original and iconic Shiratori. "Bonne Année!" |
