| I mean, it is a manga that is a re-telling of the first Gundam show so why the heck not. General consensus I know and little what I read is that the parts of the old show are just better done in the manga on average. |
| This is literally an "enhanced" version of the first Gundam story. I'd actually say that of all Gundam material that exists, this is probably the best way to get into this franchise. |

The Origin is literally the original Gundam 0079 retold with the addition of certain elements like the prequel explaining Char's backstory and how the One Year War occured. Outside of the 0079 anime this is the perfect way to get into UC Gundam. Just the heads up the anime only adapts the prequel parts so it's recommend to have watched the OVA or read the Origin manga before watching it. Outside of that you got the One Year War side stories MS Team, War in the Pocket and Thunderbolt. These all take place around the time of the original Gundam plot. Stardust Memory as a lead in to Zeta. Zeta, ZZ, Char's Counterattack and then Unicorn with us now waiting on the upcoming Hathaway's Flash Films. |
