| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- This chapter began with a scene which reminded me of Mayaya from back in the day. Ugly women in this kind of work tend to get the same response. A comical display of shock or disgust leading to everyone pushing the responsibility on he who brought her along, typically Tatsuhiko. However, I can't blame Tatsuhiko too much. He recognized that she was an important person because Ara bowed to her. At the very least assuming she has power or money would be worthwhile. That said, assuming she's a BBW pornstar, a line of work which Tatsuhiko admired so much he almost refused to work in AV and disillusion himself, may have been too much of a jump. We met the standoffish and competitive Mori Seera, the number 4. The way he loudly exclaims his dislike of other people is how Seki was also introduced so that's something to keep in mind. Following him, we properly met Kawai Megumi this time. She's Shirota's column and a daughter of a big name pachinko president. The fact that we're spending much time exploring the numerous characters within Virgo along with the ominous line that a tremendous change was about to occur in Shirota's fate, it invites theorizing how these individual parts will end up colliding, create chaos, and assumedly come back to Burst in the end. My first thought was that Tatsuhiko's new whale will actually be the harbinger of chaos. My first theory that she's just Ara's mother may be wrong but we'll see who this mysterious woman ends up being. It would be an excellent way to put Tatsuhiko in the fray. I would also like to mention Francois, at least I think that's his name. Bringing back Ara, and keeping around this mentoring sweetheart coworker are great ways to make the world feel alive that we constantly see. By placing recurrent faces within the different parties which will inevitably interact allows us to feel as though we understand the world of Shinjuku Swan. |
