Witchblade origins

So I was reading a comic book and came on a catalog page for ordering more comics. Happened to see a comic called Witchblade that had cover art strikingly similar to the anime. So I looked into it and sure enough, the anime and manga are based of this American comic book series, placed in the same world. Thought that was pretty cool and just wanted to share. XD
