| I think its just that this is a slow show and people want something with some good fight animation or some cute characters to fawn over. I'm still watching Mars Red but I can understand how people may feel. Its only the first 4 eps so maybe it picks up. The art and character designs are cool and the shots make it seem movie like. But I can't help but feel like I thought there might be more to it than what we have been given. |

| I'm guessing a lot of people didn't go past ep 1. It's definitely got that slow-burn feel, but it picked up in the next three eps. At this point, I don't think it's the ~greatest thing ever~ but it's a solid 7-8. It definitely seems like the pace of the show is going to pick up, but even if it doesn't, I'm enjoying it for being different than the usual. |
| I keep compare Mars Red to Jouran: The Princess of Snow and Blood, because these both are pretty weak in terms of storytelling, but Jouran has shown little more background stuff, compared to Mars Red that shown nothing like that. Mars Red female faces are like copypaste in each episode, they really upvote male faces but female faces are pretty much same. |

| ive heard people complain about the animation a lot and how similar it is to demon crybaby or something like that but i dont think it justifies it completely i think bot the story and the characters are really well written and you can get used to the animation (by now ive already accommodated to it and i like it a lot) |

I agree with Gaichi. I feel that anyone upvoting this has a carrot from funimation up their you know what or is a fake vampire fan. The 1990s movie "Interview with a vampire" in 2 hrs will destroy all the eps of this anime added together. If you want good story telling instead of vampires plus crumy military then look at all the seasonal anime rated higher than 7. Also don't undermind "Vivy" and "To your Eternity". These anime's story telling are way better than "bite*marked*older vampire>new vampire*find old vampire starting it all nonsense. If there was atleast darkness and action like "Hellsing Ultimate I would be interested", but it is litterally a crummy knock off. Most people have noticed and stopped watching. firstly, what the hell is a vampire fan? are we just going to call people zombie fans, robot fans and warewolf fans? it's a trope dude, there is no such a thing as 'fake vampire fan'. and about the movie you mentioned, maybe it is 10* better, but saying something is bad because something else is better is stupid. it's not like every time travel story is trash because steins gate and every pirate story shouldn't exist because pirates of the caribbean. also yes both vivy and to you're eternity are better anime and better story tellers than this. if i had to rank what i'm watching this is the 5th best anime this season. but it is the third best at story telling. i don't think you understand the difference between story telling and the actual story. this series is adapted from a play. and that is why most people who praise it, praise it for. the show captures the feeling of watching a play perfectly, which is something that at least i have never seen before. the storytelling is not you're typical story telling though, so i understand why some people don't like it, but to say the story telling is bad because the story itself is just good-generic is stupid. also also, you can't even be sure if the story is generic or not. most stories start of simple. even freaking attack on titan started as survive the giant zombies kind of story. so how should you judge the beginning? THE STORY TELLING!!! |

| Personally I don't think a 6.83 rating as a low score??? Like if it was like 5.5 I would've said yeah, it's a low score. But it basically being closer to a 7/10 then a 6/10. It might be considered low to a fair few shows this season. But it's not low honestly. |
