There isn't enough source material for that. The manga entered hiatus even before season 1 of the anime finished due to Author's health issues. It only recently restarted publishing now that the author's condition is better. There's only material for 2-3 episodes atm.

We have to wait a few more years for a second season, if the manga doesn't go on hiatus again, but I really hope that one day we get that second season

Why though? With The devil as a part timer and Bleach getting sequel after 7-8 years anything is possible.

I imagine if we ever get one it’s at least a few years away, I’ll be happy with that tho as long as we do get it, one if my favourite shows and everything a sports anime should be

I actually think a 2nd season would be a great idea, despite the manga currently being less than 10 chapters past where the anime leaves off (and most later chapters are far shorter than earlier ones, so the progress is even less). I don't know the extent of the mangaka's health issues, but the manga's output is extremely low, to the point where I can't see the series ever getting a satisfying conclusion. On the other hand, the anime did a fine job going past the manga, so it'd be kind of amazing if the series retooled and made the anime the original (assuming that would be easier for the author, not having to draw everything and just supervise the story). (Although the anime did drop many details that are probably relevant going forward.)

Realistically, of course, there's almost no chance this would happen. It's a shame because this is a really neat series, but in the 4 years since the anime ended, there's probably 2-3 episodes' worth of new material. So, if my idea doesn't happen (and it won't), there likely won't ever be enough material for a season 2.
