Are the new Lupin III Movies Original?

I haven't started this series yet but there's always one thing on my mind. Every couple years, I see a new Lupin III movie or tv series. Are these new addition to the franchise originals or adaptations from the manga?

Lupin is entirely episodic, so honestly it shouldn’t matter if they are additions to the canon franchise or not, because everything that happens in the series has no or just little relation to the previous episode/movie.
