| Can't say it wowed me. This mangaka seemingly can't write a story without rape. It was cute at the end but the manga was either super serious (shootouts? gang rape??) or romantic and steamy, just jumping between moods without any sort of transition. Particularly weird was for Kaede to bring up after having sex with Kuroba the fact that he'd been stabbed and gang raped. Not to mention that Kuroba was declaring his love for Kaede and was all about moving with him to Sweden like...days after meeting him, just because he'd seen him dance/strip and wanted to "protect" him. Very surprised that Kaede threw himself at Kuroba, considering he claimed he'd been gang raped, had a fear of men, didn't want men looking at him in a sexual way, and wasn't sure if he was gay or not. Characterization was all over the place. Everything moved too fast in the first half, then the second half kinda dragged with mostly sex scenes instead of processing all these reveals. A generous 6/10, mostly due to the art. |
