The plot for this arc is a let down compared to the first 12 episodes. Characters are harder to feel anything for, because they are not really developed till near the end. Also a very odd choice to put tournament arc into the story as it basically boils down to nothing at the end.

My biggest issue in this arc “ besides the depth of the characters “ was , in the tournament when Fushi transformed into Parona and knew she died by Hayase , he raged and told Hayase he’ll kill her over and over again , yet he never killed her even though he had two big chances , the first when he jumped over her on the bear form , and the second was on the boat .. this b*tch literally killed two of his closest people and tried to kill the Tonari’s group , and he couldn’t kill her because “ he’s too kind to kill “ , and of course she survives on the end because why not 😑

ong bro , I cried like a baby at the death of ( March , Parona , Gugu and Pioran ) , but when the three kids from Tonari’s group died I couldn’t feel a thing at all , in fact i was laughing at a meme my buddy sent , poor written characters with no depth at all

God I fucking hated that island arc, it was so shitty, this season needed to end in episode 12 with Gugu's death, that would have been a perfect ending and I would have rated this a 10/10 if it happened and said right away that this season is a masterpiece, but no, they had to fuck this shit up with that horrendous island arc, almost everything was bad there, including the animation since it was getting shittier, I'm kinda mad about it because I loved the first 12 episodes and I wanted to remember this season as a masterpiece but I can't anymore, to me, this season is just a decent season with a couple of fucking garbage episodes, what a shame.

But as I said, I planned on giving this season a 10/10 but that fucking shitty island arc ruined it and it became a 7/10, I did like the last episode though, it went back to its roots and thanks to that episode, I ended rating this an 8/10.

I will start watching S2 later today, I just hope It doesn't have shitty bad-looking episodes like the shit I watched in the island arc, that was horrible, I don't want to drop S2 because of shitty episodes like that.
